I remember the hype that went along with this game when it was first released. All people could talk about was how beautiful the game is, how incredible the story is. Much of that was true. I have yet to see another game come close to the beauty of this game (besides of course the other titles in this series). It is nice to see a team that is interested in staying period correct. However, everybody knows that beauty isn't everything, and this game is lacking in a few areas. At first, combat is exciting, missions are interesting and serve a purpose, but as soon as you figure out the formula its very repetitive. Climb a tower, eavesdrop, beat up a few people, assassinate the target, and repeat. Also, every enemy can be beat by basically holding block and couter-attacking. But, that all seems almost moot because playing this game is more like watching a movie anyways.

Yep, every once in awhile a game title combines a sharp storyline, engaging characters, smooth interface, graphics that make you skip meals to keep watching, and of course gratuitous violence. This game is one of those.

I wunt number 2!

One of the best games I have played on Gametap. Very enjoyable gameplay although the side missions get kind of boring over time. The story is interesting and I found it very original but the ending left me a bit frustrated. Wishing for Gametap to get Assassins Creed 2!

Excellent game! I really have no complaints considering the year it was released. I just finished the game and I'm going to start it again :)

Very linear but extremely fun. I've played this several times now and enjoyed the period piece. Can't stand the modern parts, though.
