I agree with jefaw1982, the whole game is lacking. I don't know so much that the demographic is kids and trying to emulate old point and clicks though. The game is a point and click and just feels like a poorly thought out idea of a game that included dwarfs. The art is art, but it just doesn't stack up to anything that's hit in the last decade. The gameplay is clunky: clicks don't register where they're supposed to, hard lines make up object borders that don't line up artisticly and there is no direction or instruction outside of using the hint system to complete the game which makes it seem like cheating through the whole thing. Now, don't get me wrong...I didn't play the whole game, couldn't get through the first 15 minutes (or 3-5 actions in the first level) before I had to stop. It hurt. A lot. If D.W.A.R.F.S. was a student project, I'd give it a D- for all the reasons above and 5 blatant spelling and grammatical errors in the small portion that I experienced.
