I thought it was a pretty fun game all around. I found that it was easy to win every battle once I stacked four heroes together and kept building their offensive abilities as much as possible. I became an infamous pagan tyrant, then used my army of darkness to destroy the identical forces of darkness and ally with the light side at the end. Being able to teleport directly behind enemy archers and commanders at the start of a battle is the most valuable skill in the game, followed closely by the Cleave/Mighty Blows skills. Note that you don't have to actually complete all the objectives or close every chapter to win the game, and skipping some of them is a good idea because the rewards are not worth the cost. The game had a tendency to crash right at the start or end of a battle occassionally on my computer, so I'd recommend saving the game before and after any important battles.
