Do your laptop and desktop use the same or different versions of Windows?

EDIT: Also, do the two pcs connect to the internet in a similar way?

That's really weird. Even with me using XP, I've gotten the 4100 error once in awhile but I can't explain it yet.

Anyway, if you never get that error on your laptop, I'd just download everything there and transfer the games to my desktop manually. If you have an external hard drive or an enclosure, it'll be really easy. If you wanna try that and you need detailed instructions, let me know.

I don't know about getting rid of the error..but Game tap does not mention this as I can remember but .. I just discovered part of the 4100 issue as well as the problem that I have with getting a game to redownoad but was not saying anything or doing anything other than 0.0kb.

You have to clear the cache files that are not very big and you will find them in
c:/programfiles/game tap web player/ games ( hover your mouse over the Numericle nameing and The small files should say Cache on them ....REMOVE These and the Game will Dowmload as normal)

The Same Goes for the Window 7 enviroment

c:/programdata/game tap web player/ games
