8 Days of Grimm Tournament
Beginning Thursday Dec 11th and running through the 18th, we will be running a nightly Grimm tournament featuring all 8 episodes from Season 2. Points will be distributed each day for the participants and winners of the featured game's tournament that count towards your total points score from all the other events.
The person who accumulates the most points from just the Grimm tournaments will also receive a grand prize super swag package featuring stuff from Adult Swim, FusionFall, Sam and Max, and Grimm.

3. Play through the episode and submit your time.
4. Receive points and fame on the internets
Each game will be free starting at midnight on the day of its tournament so you can get a head start on practicing each day.

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
The Grim games have always been free for 24 hours though. So really this is just like getting a second bite of the apple. (Plus I still see over 900 games that are only for Gold members, so I'd say you're getting your $60 worth.)

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
+I was wondering....If we play the game more than once and post to leaderboard each time, will it keep your high score and get rid of the other scores you posted? Seems like I read that someplace but can't find it again.+

They all go on the leaderboard, but only the lowest counts for the tourney.

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
for the tournament it will always only show your fastest.
you also dont have to play through it completely each time. any time you beat a stage time it will let you post the cumulative fastest time.

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
Is there a chance that some day you can put the Grimm games as lunchtime tournaments and bring the current lunchtime leaderboard games later in the day?

First forum post ever!
Lorben, you are a worthy adversary and a beast. How in the blazes did you manage that score on King Midas?

Ha, yeah I couldn't get that to work either.

It's all about putting yourself in the right place when your darkness meter hits another notch. I found a lot of sections where everything lined up just right for me.
Here's the breakdown of my times, not so much to gloat but because I always wished someone would do this on the season 1 tournaments so I knew which scenes I was the farthest behind on.
Scene 1: 1:28.37
Scene 2: 1:36.51
Scene 3: 1:02.42
Scene 4: 2.10:74
Scene 5: 1:12.60
Scene 6: 54.98

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
Believe it or not, I actually DID get the speed boost to work on the platforms on level 1, after much screaming and anger at driving myself crazy over it.
1: 1:18:10
2: 1:48:32
3: 1:19:11
4: 2:27:27
5: 1:09:31
6: 1:01:04
Looks like you just did overall better on all the other levels though, I had a lot of trouble with 4, but I was proud of my pretty much flawless level 1 run after I was done with it.

Cinderella stopped working. I kept restarting GameTap, and I redownloaded it, but it still doesn't work. :(

Is it giving you some type of error message? Can you open other Grimm games?

The key I found to 4 was to grimm everything in the first section, including making a run around the walls. The 2 gates move up your bar quite a bit. After that I make the jump from the stairs to the secret, go to the nearest edge of the water and stomp to hit two boats, which brings my bar high enough for the floating block part. Run around the left edge to hit the remaining houses and columns, stomp on the platform so it'll bring you up with it. You can hit the right two blocks with one well placed stomp, then the left. Jump down and you should have a darkness bar high enough to grimm the cleaners. Hit them, jump across the water, hit the other cleaners and go to the building Midas is in. As soon as you enter, or around that time you should hit the required darkness level. Use a left over sausage stomp to hit Midas from the building entrance instead of going in the building for him.

Re: 8 Days of Grimm Tournament
I still go to bed on time...of course this has led to me going to bed being in a commanding lead to wake up in 3rd or 4th place several times.
