 Re: A star wars question?!
I imagine there will be a #7, 8 and 9 seeing as how the books have 9 volumes. And I imagine it will be like #1, 2 and 3 since they use modern filmmaking techniques. I just hope Jar Jar Binks isn't in any of them. Chronologically speaking, he should be dead of old age by the time #7, 8 and 9 take place.
I also hope they make the droids less stupid, and more droid-like. I don't need comic relief from droids, if I do, it should be from C3PO and R2D2, not from imperial battle droids. And it always bothered me that General Grievous is a robot, yet he hacks and coughs and wheezes and talks like he smokes 3 packs of unfiltered cigarettes a day. How can a robot have emphysema?

I always heard the Grievous thing is explained in the Clone Wars series (the Genndy Tartovsky one, not the recent one). I doubt they're going to make more movies. I mean, I hear rumors every now and then, but nothing comes of it. Maybe side-story movies. The 6 movies as they are really work as a complete story, so making more movies wouldn't really work as well, y'know?

Dear God, I hope not. Then again, the last trilogy killed my desire to ever watch Star Wars again, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Grevious is a cyborg, not a robot. I don't remember the movie well because it's been a few years but I don't remember them doing a good job of making that clear. The only things I remember that might tip someone off is A. The coughing and B. The organic eyes

OR C his beating heart that Obi Wan destroys? Also, there will NEVER be a new trilogy. 7, 8, and 9 will NEVER be made. Books, which are considered official canon, have already covered most (if not all) of the loose ends left in ROTJ. If Lucas ever makes another Star Wars film it will probably be unrelated to the original anthology. I think that he feels that 1-6 are good as a closed system and don't need anything else tacked on.

Interesting discussion actually. What defines the "human" part of us is actually quite varied in Sci-fi, (keeping in mind that I'm speaking thematically, thus there's no need to back anything with science, since it's thematic. just before anyone flames me.) So I've seen everything from simply needing the brain (in some cases, not even that physically, just a downloaded copy) to needing brain plus spinal chord, etc. In this case, it's likely whoever was in theme control decided that heart was a nessicary component, so lungs were added too (I've often seen them "combined" for lack of a better term into one unit in literature.) The one thing I have noticed is that any given story (or set of stories in teh case of a series) tends to be internally consistant as to what physical parts of us define our personhood. thanks junior year Literature of Science Fiction Class! (Best English requirment I've ever had.)

 Re: A star wars question?!
this is why im asking I found this....
The answer is maybe. George Lucas has released the plots to episodes VII-IX (7-9), but is not sure whether he'll make them. Rumors say:
There will be another Star Wars Trilogy. The STAR WARS: SEQUEL TRILOGY will begin pre-production on Star Wars: Episode VII,VIII,IX by the year of 2015 will a theatrical release of May 2021 of Episode 7 next decade with THE FALLEN HERO, THE REPUBLIC IN CRISIS and VICTORY OF THE FORCE. Supershadow will be in charge on the next trilogy. Michael Suttle will be incharge on the future of Star Wars. Many people out there who call him a fraud or a fake should be ashamed of themselves. Ruthless people out there but Shadow is decent person. There will also be a STAR WARS: FINALITY TRILOGY or Episodes X,XI,XII which will be the last trilogy.

 Re: A star wars question?!
12 movies made out of chronological order spanning hundreds or years written over half a century. That's a feat worthy of the Holy Bible! Seems a little hard to believe.

My favorite star wars movie is the one where they have to go back in time to save the whales.

 Re: A star wars question?!
Well georges Luces refereed to Episode III as "his last Starwars movie". So unless he changed his mind , no more starwars movie. Quote: The answer is maybe. George Lucas has released the plots to episodes VII-IX (7-9) | | |
Released something that don't exists ? As far as I know, Lucas never planned any episode but 6. So I fail to see how there could be plot written for these. If you want my mind, just some fakes stories put up to make traffic If and when Lucas changes his mind and decides for new monies, it will be announced on the official website, not some totally unknown one. I wouldn't trust any sources not official stuff... There are more than enough starwars stuff coming (Clone wars , live series)

 Re: A star wars question?!
George Lucas has said he doesn't plan to make any more Star Wars movies. Episode VI was the very last one he'll make about the main storyline.
Besides, with all the books and video games, most of what he could use has already been made, if anything a new trilogy would be based on one of the book series.
I would not be surprised to see Star Wars remade one day, but as for a whole new trilogy, as much as this Star Wars fan would love it, I don't see it coming anytime soon.

I doubt it, unless he makes movies about the Expanded Universe (the books that cover what happens after the movies) and many of those books do not fit into the family-friendly SW movies theme....
