I think you guys should bring back the oringinal gametap player.. the best thing I like about that old player was that you can play people online. You are not able to do that anymore for the classic games that ive noticed maybe you can but I have no idea how to.. thats besides the point. Everything was nice and orderly on one player not seperated downloads to hog up memory on your PC. Just saying! You guys should really consider bringing this back up to date.

It's not going to happen, this has been asked God knows how many times. Gametap is owned by a new company now, and they're not changing back to the old player, you're just going to have to live with what they're giving us.

Hi! A new player is coming for may / june. One thing I'm sure : it's more stable (don't say "Allehluia", I see you coming !), it will have more features and (this one, I'm not 100% sure) should be visible in the tray for example.

That is absurd. You click on "leaderboards/events" and it says "Under Construction", it has said "Under Construction" for 5 YEARS NOW. When are you going to actually Do Some Constructing? You do absolutely ZERO work with everything you do it is astounding. like i said in the welcome-to-the-gametap-forums-introduce-yourself-t35104-125.html thread neogenx gametap is making a comeback but they are working to bring those missing things back so like i said just relax.

Clearly the original player is not coming back but lets hope GT comes through with the player and better Win7 support.

I was one of the few who, despite my best efforts and following all the tech support tips, could not get the player to run in Win7 64bit.

After growing tired of paying every month for the chance of improvements, i decided to cancel. The tech support rep was helpful and nice and in one email, he indicated a player was coming....

lol yeah GTap Admins whats up with the "project" Called new player? lol last I heard was in July sometime its coming up on the end of the month has the player been tested and ready? I hope its like the old player but I doubt it one could hope lol!

You want the truth? We tried to release it last week but there were some technical failures; it has been reported to next week, I hope it will work this time. You'll know when it will be there, that's for sure ^^

once gametap was sold, i stopped paying. i will never go back because the way it is now is horrible. i do get on once and a while to check the forum and wish it was as it was in the past! miss you old gametap f you metaboli

I think I'm just going to assume it's been scrapped until I hear otherwise. That way if it does end up happening it will be a pleasant surprise. I know that's kinda sad, but it's just the way things are around here.
