BUYER BEWARE when using the Download to Own "Features"
Just a suggestion for improvement: I paid for a downlaod to own game with a verified Paypal account (meanin g it's been verified to my bank account). And it's approaching 3 hours now and still no cd key in my email. This is ridiculous... It's already been verified. And now you have another verification process? What is that all about? The weekend is wasting away while you drag your feet on this crap.
I will never download anything form this website again- there are other places to get games that don't **** around and not say the cdkey isn't included inthe download and then keep you waiting while they "verify" you made a payment from an already verified source. Loads of crap, thanks for the game, and thanks for the crappy customer care. Deuces.

Re: Still waiting to "verify" payment so I can get my dang cdkey
Also posting in all the game forums I frequent never to use gametap because of their lack of concern for the gamers. If only one person reads it and changes their mind about using your site, then I helped save one gamer from the frustration you procure.

Re: Still waiting to "verify" payment so I can get my dang cdkey
Just an update: 9 hours later the payment was refunded and the note they included with the refund to PayPal said one word: "fraud". Keeping in mind I use a verified Paypal account since the early 90's and have done over 200+ transactions with it (buying and selling). I'm almsot positive this had everything to do with my posting calling them on their b.s. customer care. This is the mentality of the staff you are dealing with here at Gametap. Want access to all the "free" games for $10 a month: It MAY work fine for you and it's a great deal.
But buyer beware: If you plan to buy form the download to own section you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. The customer service is lacking all around and expect that the response to your emails will be automated and nothing more. And you'll only be directed to their online support center; which offers absolutely no assistance to REAL issues (a reason why they have no phone contacts perhaps?)
I'm confident the moderator will either delete this post or allow it to stand and have something to say about it. Regardless of whatever they comment, you would be wise to take my advice; if you plan on buying any digital copies to own- just pay the extra $5 and download it somewhere else- you will be glad you did. But please don't just go on my word alone; read some of the other posts in this forum and you'll see a very distinguishable pattern: "Thanks for the cash, good luck with our services. Oh by the way if it doesn't work for you you can visit our useless automated support center b/c that's all the **** we care to give about any of your issues. Oh forgot the KY; sorry!"

Re: BUYER BEWARE when using the Download to Own "Features"
We are very sorry for this but due to the increasing phenomenon of internet frauds we have been forced to put in place additional control and risk assessment for every purchase made on our site.
Unfortunately payment service providers are not able to protect mechants against the use of stolen credit cards details which results in a high number of chargebacks and enormous financial losses for our company.
For obvious reasons we understand your complaint and we admit this solution is far from ideal, but for the time being we have no feasable alternatives, although we are constantly looking for a better solution.
I dont know if the other forums which you post on accept your swearing, but we dont like it on here, so please take your language elsewhere.
