Like so many other posts I have read here, I too agree that the selection provided by this service is not worth $120 a year for me. I do remember when gametap had a TON of content including cool and original videos. This service has deteriorated to a crumbling husk of its former self.

Here is a heads up to everyone. When you go to Manage my Account and click on the Cancel subscription link, it takes you directly to the knowledge base webform. I typed in that I was cancelling my account, gave my username and hit submit. It then responded with "we didn't find your question in our knowledge base" and asked me to fill out some more info saying an agent would get back with me.

Honestly, I don't know if this will cancel my account or not, but I DO know they won't be able to bill me. My bank allows me to create unique card numbers that I can use for online purchases (including recurring subscriptions). These card numbers are authorized for a specific amount only (or monthly) and come out of my actual credit card (which Gametap does not have the number for). I have closed the card number I created for Gametap, so whether or not you actually close my account or not, you won't be getting any more $$ from me.

What kind of amateur service is this? I can automatically set up a subscription but can't cancel it in the same manner? I had to go back a second time and look again because I couldn't believe it.

Very sketchy. All I can say is I am thankful I don't have to worry about charges I don't want or struggling to get this company to cancel my account.

Same here. I'm cancelling too. I'm really diasappointed at what GameTap has become, or more appropriately, ceased to be. Search options are terrible or non existent and every single game on here, including the ones that have been here forever still have this jazzy "new" box around it LOL. Cheesey as all hell, a big waste of time and money. I'd rather pay ala carte for games. Member for two years and tired of paying while I wait for it to get good again. What a shame.
