I sincerely hope you can help me with this problem, because I haven't been able to find this problem in a prior post.

Basically, the new game update, Player-GTUS, is not updating. Or possibly it is, but the point is, that after I complete the update process, and return to Gametap, it just shows me the same page saying I need to update my player! I've updated several times, with the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

The thread above should help with the issue, unless that version of Firefox is too new. I can't keep up with all the updates myself. But it is most likely the browser is not allowing the program to install the plugin w/o administrator mode. Hope this helps.

The Gametap player is not compatible with Firefox 10.0. It may actually be compatible, but the Gametap admins need to test it and alter something with the plugin to tell Firefox that it works with 10.0. Until that happens, you can use Gametap with Internet Explorer or try to find an older copy of Firefox (9 and earlier work well) and uninstall Firefox 10 and install the old version of Firefox. It usually takes around a week after each of the incremental Firefox updates for a new version of the Gametap player to be posted. Not too long, but if you are in the middle of a game you should probably switch to IE for a week or so until it gets sorted out.
