Do trainer programs and mods work on gametap?
I want infinite energy for second sight but the trainer program doesnt seem to work? Its much like when you unlock cheats but you download instead. SO do stuff like that work on gametap?

When I played Titan Quest, I tried a trainer, and it worked. But I've tried using trainers on other games that didn't work. In other words, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. As for the mods, I haven't gotten any of those to work.

Loadable mods work. I use Civ4 mods all the time. If you have to edit somethng in teh game, usually it won't work. If you hjust need to load something in a directory, it usually does.

You can't access the game's directory because it's encrypted. What tsr was referring to was games that load mods from your "My Documents" folder like Civ4.
If you need to put the trainer in the game's directory then it won't work with the GameTap version.

As we said before, you best bet is to try it and see what happens.

Re: Do trainer programs and mods work on gametap?
They only work if they go to a folder in the game (like with civ 4) unfortunatley very few games do that

Re: Do trainer programs and mods work on gametap?
Trainers that actively access the memory do sometimes work (Tomb Raider had a few trainers that did that.) Unfortunately it sound like this one won't. It was specifically made for the Trymedia versoin though.

Re: Do trainer programs and mods work on gametap?
If you use something like Cheat Engine you can make your own trainers for a lot of games. It can be difficult sometimes though. I've managed to use it with Fallout:Tactics and Titan's Quest to good effect.
