Dragon Age: Origins has first day DLC
Not amused. I've lost a lot of interest in this game since the delay and now the money-grab.

Might just be the Collector's Edition content, for those who don't get the CE.
I'll buy it either way. After all, it is Bioware.

Yeah, the first day DLC didn't sit right with me. If it was ready, it should have been in the game. At least wait a month and claim you just finished it.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins has first day DLC
From what I've read, it is the Warden's Keep content from the "Digital Deluxe Edition", and was developed by a completely seperate DLC focused team (so nothing was "cut" from the actual game). I guess it's kinda like selling the extra stuff in a CE edition seperately. I suppose it can be viewed as a money grab, but eh... if there really is 60+ hours worth of gameplay in the vanilla game, they can sell all the DLC they want day one and I'd feel kinda silly trying to complain about it.

From what I've read, they took a piece of the game, took it out in order to support a console, and are now putting it back in as either DLC or only if you buy it new.

If there is 60+ I will be surprised. I admit that Bioware has proven to be excellent game makers and I have enjoyed all their games I have played. Just a bit doubtful about 60 hours right from the box. I got burned by all of the Fallout 3 DLC claims for length, they were all about half the time that Bethesda claimed (Different publisher, I know). If I am wrong, I will be very happy for those 60 hours.

I got it yesterday the $49 version has the quest and the extra character free with the game.
The CE has the bonus dvd and cloth map.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins has first day DLC
yea i pre-ordered it picked it up got a downloadable quest and character plus some unlockable armor that you can unlock on this game and mass effect 2 when it comes out. i thought that was neat plus i havent stopped playing the game since i got it. Great story and characters tho the visuals lack at times
