 Error 4053
After struggling to get the Gametap player installed, I finally got it working, but every time I go to play any game (browser or download) it gives me an error 4053 message. I've tried turning off my firewall, adding *.gametap.com to trusted sites, etc. and still nothing is working. I'm running Windows Vista and I'm on a university network in the UK if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help.

 Re: Error 4053
You'll need to run logs.

 Re: Error 4053
I submitted one of these, but haven't gotten a response yet. Is there something else to this I need to do?
EDIT: I went and did another log, and it crashed both IE and Firefox before it could send, and I tried on Google Chrome but it's been saying it's sending for about 20 minutes now.

 Re: Error 4053
I don't see that you have successfully posted any logs.
Perhaps try navigating to /Program Files/GameTap Web Player/bin/release and modifying the properties on GameTapWebPlayer.exe to "Run as Administrator". You should be able to see a checkbox if you right click on the file in Explorer, select Properties, and look on the Compatibility tab.

 Re: Error 4053
I thought I got my first log through but I guess I didn't. I've tried again and it shuts down my Firefox and IE, and freezes Chrome. I also ran everything as an administrator, including what you suggested, and it still doesn't work. I'm going to try this on a friend's computer next also on the same university network to see if I just can't get it on this campus.
