I've been waiting for this for awhile. Fallout 3 is 50% off this weekend on Steam.

Can you get all the DLC for the PC version? I'm liking some of those.

It looks like it. It took me awhile to set up a Games for Windows Live account. Fallout 3 gives the option on the startup menu to connect to Games for Windows. Steam actually gives you a CD key for this purpose. I was able to navigate to the area where you can purchase all the add-ons. The add-ons require 800 points but Games for Windows only sells points in 500 increments for $6.25. So you will have points left over.

So the answer appears to be yes. Although I won't try it myself yet since I've never played the game before.

edit: Also the first time I logged into Games for Windows Live it downloaded and installed patch 1.6 for the game.

Pretty sure the cards you can buy in the store are 1600 points. I haven't bought one for the 360 in awhile though.

If it's using Xbox points I wonder if you can buy them on amazon? You can actually buy game codes directly from amazon now (bypassing points) for alot of games (It's how I bought the 2nd penny aracde game)

I wouldn't put it past Microcrap to make them different, but considering an XBL account = Games For Windows Live account I'd say it's likely they are the same.

Easy test for someone who can do it: if you have points on your XBL account just log into a game that's on GFWL (Kane & Lynch works if nothing else) and see if they are listed. I can't do this as I'm too cheap to get any MS points or even a gold XBL account.
