I downloaded the Gameloader. It seemed to go pretty slow, although it tells me i'm getting 360 kps, it took 6 hours to d/l call of duty 4. Then when i get it, the file was corrupt.

until your servers are taken out of the stoneage, I might suggest that Gametap stop using its downloader and just provide a torrent. Let the costumer use their own torrent software to get files.

Now on the good side i got the activation key right away.

I'm re-downloading the file again to see if i just got corrupted during transmission. I will update this topic when it has finished.

I don't mind things being a little slow, i paid half of what the other online software stores are asking. However. i would require them to work.

I would use the manual file downloads. They are much more reliable and you can start them all at once. Just make sure to delete the other files the fast download used. The exe file will uncompress the bin files so you can install your game. The problem with the fast download is it will stop before the files actually complete. I've tried several times with the fast download with little success, but Metaluke has said a very fast connection speed is required. But iI've had no problem with the individual files. You also should get the full speed of your connection speed in this way. Hope this helps you.

thanks for your response. I ended up breaking out my Bitlord and getting it via torrent. I don't like doing this because a guy never knows what he maybe getting. I ended up with the game, but it was hacked, so i didn't need key. I came here because i wanted to be legit and purchase the game. If Gametap wants to sell me anything in the future they will need to improve the way they deliver their product (faster and more accurate) I did go ahead and download Gametap's files again in hopes that i got a solid download this time.

Thanks eddie! I did get a solid copy of cod4. But guess what, the cd key was invalid! Man i am just not having any luck with this site, seems to me i have wasted my money.

Your welcome. I have to be honest in that I don't fully understands what cause this issue with the key error, but I think it's just some generic error the game displays what I've seen.. If it's Call of Duty MW 2 it could just be needed to validate the key in Steam. That would be nice if that's all it was. I think though you said COD 4, you can look through this thread below and it may just help. There is an option in the multiplayer options to re-verify the code there. I can't count out the possibility that Gametap somehow gave you a used key, but it seems like a prevelant issue for this game. The most common fix I think was to reinstall Punkbuster, but there are quite a few good suggestions in the forum below:
