Welcome to the +Fisherman and His Wife+ Monday Leaderboard Tournament! Starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, August 25th we'll begin collecting all scores submitted to the leaderboard, and the 10 highest-scoring players will win prizes. For more information, see the tournament's in our section.

How To Play

Competing in the Monday Leaderboard Tournament is easy!

On the day of the tournament, go to the GameTap.com hub page for the current Leaderboard Tournament game. If you already have the GameTap Player installed, simply click on the green Play button. Otherwise, click on the Download button, and follow the simple installation instructions.

If prompted, log in to the GameTap Player using your TapID. Need a TapID? Get it here!

You will be immediately redirected to the game's Overview. If you haven't already downloaded the game, simply click on the yellow Download button to start. Check out our handy instructions while you're waiting, reconfigure the controls if necessary, and take a glance at the current Leaderboard scores to scope out the competition. When you're ready to play, click on the Start Play button.

Play the game as much as you'd like; don't worry, we'll save all your scores! When you're ready to post, exit the game by pressing the [Esc] key to return to the Overview, where you will see the graphic above. Click it!

All of your scores will be displayed. Use the check-boxes on the left to determine which scores you'd like to submit, and click Post to set your scores live.

After that, start talking trash! Your TapID gives you automatic posting access here on the GameTap Forums. Just hit reply in this thread, and let your competition know just how awesome you are.

And don't forget, you can post as many scores as you'd like, but only your highest score will count toward the top ten ranking! Good luck!

Is it even possible to get a gold in scene 3? I'm beginning to think it's a bug. I've pushed my time down to 1:19 and still have only a red medal.

Oh yeah,

The gold, silver or bronze medals have nothing to do with your time, sure it has to do with how dark you make the overall course!!! ;)

How dark are you? lol

You're very close, the silver is about 1:18. I've spent forever on this scene, so I agree there probably is a bug or some secret way to beat the level in a minute...

I got 53:93 in that scene, which did get me a gold medal.

There is a trick to it, but it's NOT a bug. In fact, it's clever enough that I won't be spoiling it any time soon.

my only guess is it could have been a secret way to open the door. My best time was 1:10 :(

I'm compiling a movie of my game path, but I don't want to post it right now for the same reason as LittleMy. I don't intend to actually compete in any more contests as I've already won one, but I don't want to immediately give away some of the tricks I've learned.

By the way LM, you put up a great fight. I got cocky/lucky.

Found it ;)

I'll wait for the LeaderMan PM before I post my new time (just in case there's a glitch, seeing as how only one score per player is on the board).

Personally, my reluctance to spoil the trick has nothing to do with either the contest or the leaderboards. The Grimm episodes thus far have been very straight-forward: this level is the exception to that rule. I feel it would be a shame to spoil the fun involved in discovering the trick for oneself.

Not that I or someone else won't eventually post the answer: I just would rather people get a chance to try to find it on their own (and, if necessary, eventually cry uncle) before anyone gives it away.

Hint then?

I've played through it probably 20-30 times now, and I can't break 1:19. I've tried changing up the order I'm doing the initial areas and then breezing through the middle.

I've messed around trying to trigger the bell without going 2/3 of the way up the staircase (that'd save around 10-15 seconds there).

Hint on WHERE I should be looking?

Mostly I suggest exploring. Take some time to try getting to difficult-to-reach places. Try things that seem pointless. Take a leap of faith and see where it takes you. You'll find it soon enough.

Hey h3lix, I was feeling under the weather last Monday, actually all week, and realized I forgot to congratulate you on your win when I congratulated the winner in tonight's tourney. Man, you came out of nowhere if I remember right. Great Job!

Thanks! Well done taking back the #1 all time spot...4:40 pretty much settles it.

I actually built up my score for the entire week leading up to the tourney and I was thinking about "sniping" at the last minute, but then I thought that would be sleazy.
