Can they be made to see from other GT Customers? IE: I host a server and Soandso plays Freelancer Multiplayer mode, clicks on search internet for server, will he be able to see my server? I know it works on LAN mode just not sure bout internet.

If it does friend and i will probably be hosting a Freelancer server every weekend Fri,Sat,Sun and into Early Monday morning.

I tried looking for Freelancer server via internet search but nothing ever showed up. I did find this site. http://flstat.cryosphere.co.uk/global-list.php
Which seems to still have players playing to this day, but i cannot connect to any of the servers since the game does not let you connect via IP. Well you can, but you have to have access to files which us GT customers don't have access to unfortunately.

So i was just wondering if GT customers could at least host servers and other GT members could join there's.

I think you'd have more success playing a LAN game via Hamachi.

Microsoft took down the global list server quite a while ago.

The only way to get to a live server is to tweak the game settings to allow you to query a new list, which is not feasible in this version (GameTap download) of the game.

Hey GT please fix this FL is a Great game.
It is Not too hard to setup Or Recode the Server host list to Manage Freelancer.

there is a Workaround for the FL global server list.

also noticed that FL server cannot run at the same time as Freelancer does. SInce the server program would run off our computers This should be allowed.

If Yummy Encryption is coming this week (which it has been very hinted, to the point that they might as well be slapping people with a fish labeled "Yummy is Coming this WEEK!") then modding MIGHT be enabled. However, they'd have to re-encode the game, which might take a while, especially since they have 1048 games on the service.

However, considering in terms of ratings it sits proudly at 40 out of 1048 of all games (26 out of 478 for premium exclusive), which is honestly pretty good, it might be one of the earlier ones to get fixed.

So how do you play over lan? I can't find a way for it to allow me to both host a server and launch the game.
