 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
I still haven't watched the last two movies, even though I got Bender's Game for Christmas. =/

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
Benders game was by far the best. I didn't care much for "Wild Green Yonder" honestly, it just seemed remarkably odd.

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
I thought I read that the contract for a new season is still in the air, and there'll be new actors on it. Leela sounds perfect the way she was last season, why change it? Unless [AS] gets it, then all is right.

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
That's old news. More than likely it was a holdout by the actors for more money, that's usually what it's all about. It's coming back with the original cast. http://gizmodo.com/5345037/futurama-returning-with-full-original-cast-after-all

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
Wow, that's really good news. I didn't think they would be able to get Katie Sagal back now that she's working on "Sons of Anarchy" (good show too, btw).

Huh that's weird. I have pretty much the exact opposite feeling. Benders Game just felt like a way too long episode to me.

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
Bender's Big Score was great. And the scene where it finally reveals everything towards the end is just very emotional!
Beast with a Billion Backs and Into the Wild Green Yonder were okay, but nothing spectacular. Bender's Game was just great because of the whole D&D stuff and Roberto the Insane Robot.

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
Omfg! Hell yes, I love that show ^^
I'm still in the middle of re-watching those old ones on DVD (had to get that huge box set) but I definitely wouldn't mind to see more new stuff (yet to see those movies too... I know I should).

 Re: Futurama returns to TV?
The Simpsons hasn't been a great show since the early 90s. It's no longer that edgy; it's lots of really blunt humor that doesn't take a lot of intellect. The spider pig thing is a perfect example of how silly it is, and their attempts at satire are actually pretty pathetic. Futurama is a lot better, but their recent movies haven't been that good. They are basically long television episodes sold at high prices. I forget the name of the movie that didn't even try for a cohesive plot. That movie probably would have been three different television episodes.

The movies actually were just episodes of a new season put together. You can see the individual episode codes in the credits. I think the original intent was to air them on television as the next season, followed by another season that would be direct to TV. Im not sure if that's still the plan though. I've been out of the loop for a while.
