I am having this same issue. Just updated to Firefox 10.0, my add-ons manager says that Yummy Games Player 1.0.9.1 is incompatible, and has been disabled. Any ideas for a fix?

Personally, these many updates are somewhat suspicious. I don't use FireFox any more because it's just no longer stable with anything. However, there is an option you can set in Tools to not allow the program to auto update. I use version 3.6 on another pc and it works great for everything. If all else fails or you want to do this the simplest way, I guess the best way to go is to use a system restore point (under programs, accessories, system tools).

Eventually Gametap will release an updated plugin, but one can only guess when that will be. I'm hoping this helps you in some capacity.

Ok, so I reverted to an earlier version of Firefox. The Yummy Player now works again. However, I am still getting the installation loop issue. I have tried just about all of the advice offered here, to no avail. I have found out that apparently it still works in IE. Any ideas about what is causing the problem?

I pm'd Dr. Wong, according to him (10:30 AM EST):

"We're testing an updated version compatible with FF 10 but we're not yet satisfied with it. We hope to release something within a few days."

...so hopefully something before the weekend is over?

Four to five weeks from Raka's post would put us in the March 30-April 6 range, if the information is accurate and they can meet the anticipated dates.

According to Raka, the new player will replace the old. Speculation in the other thread seems to indicate most any browser will be supported.

your service is garbage.. i have tried over and over and over to get this new player to work for me to play europa and it fails time and again.. you updated your player at least a month ago and i cannot get anything to work now.. i have tried at least 10 methods your administrators have said would work and all failed.. after three months of emailing your company you still have not canceled my service.. FOR THE SAKE OF HUMAN DECENCY at least let me play europa.. your seriously the s!@t company in human existence..

onehitwunder the update you refer to was for the old player make sure you try the new player
