Post I am soooooo finished with Grimm!
I enjoyed season 1 of Grimm. I was able to play the entire season with little technical problems.

Season 2 was also fun, but I noticed that the game was more "choppier" than the first one. Still, I played it.

Now we have Season 3 and I was looking foward to playing tonight. To my supprise, the game was very choppy and unplayable even with the graphics set to low!

Now before you start to flame me and ask for my system specs (which I find pointless to post), let me say that my computer is very "WELL" equiped to play Grimm. This is the computer that can play BioShock, Crysis and other recent games with all DX10 graphics maxed out at 1920x1200 and suffer no slowdowns whatsoever (ok Crysis did stutter but that's expected).

Grimm is just "coded" bad. Maybe one day, they'll release the entire collection on 1 DVD, patched and playable. Until then, I'm done. So, long!

The only thing DX10 does is slow down your graphics for more resolution your eye can't see. No speed improvement at all that I've seen. Plus this means you're playing it on vista, so try playing it on XP, heh...

PS- Although, the frog king has done almost nothing but crash the hell out of my computer so far, but the other games work fine. Guessing it's just a first day bug, or first week, or month.

I've noticed that season 3 seems to have a jump in system requirements too. I had to turn off effects, drop the texture quality to low for my first playthough. Also had to switch to windowed mode when I started to test out speed runs because in full screen mode the game would skip and I'd find myself in water while trying to make a series of fast jumps.

For the record my pc has a AMD 3700, Geforce 7600GT and 3gb ram. Not the best these days for sure, but I haven't been having any problems running F.E.A.R. 2 or Left 4 Dead with a similar graphics config.

Season 3 is definitely making better use of the unreal engine than the previous seasons, that's for sure.

Grimm is an Unreal engine game? That makes no sense at all. I've been able to play BioShock and Gears of War (other Unreal engine games) on my computer with everything cranked up to max and have had no problems whatsoever. Unreal engine games work great on my computer. But not Grimm.

I also bought Left 4 Dead on Steam 2 days ago (a very recent release). I am able to max out the graphics on that game and have no frame rate issues either (even with hoards of zombies on screen).

The annoying thing about Grimm is that even when I turn everything to low, the game still stutters! That is just proof of bad coding and a rushed game.

I'm curious what your specs are b/c my computer does all that except for Left 4 Dead (I don't have that game) and I didn't have any issues with Grimm. My system wasn't top of the line even when I built it about eight months ago.

Something I find even more interesting is they don't have the sys reqs for this episode posted in the player.

Wow, this frog king one just keeps crashing on me no matter how many times I download it. Bad news...

Strange, I had problems with some of the other episodes stuttering, but this one was fine for me.
