User input has a lot of power in the prioritization of feature roll-outs (at least it should). Regardless of how the GT team responds to insignificant me, it was worth an attempt on my part. Now it's possible, though not necessarily probable, that my suggestions will be taken into account. If I didn't post, it would not only be improbable, but impossible for my suggestions to be taken into account. If you disagree, please offer me a scenario where not posting still allows my concerns to be heard as well as potentially lead to the effects mentioned above. do you even play games on here or do you just troll the forums every day or so?

I'm an avid gamer and used the service regularly in it's better days. This forum thread is specifically for people to voice their opinion on the web based player vs. Desktop client, and by definition would make you the troll, not me. I wasn't looking to offend, you are, so look in a mirror troll.

Actually it was a justified response to a passive-aggresive remark. Seeing as you're not adding any real contribution to the conversation, I'll ask that you answer my original question regarding the posting of "complaints" creating potentiality regardless of actuality when it comes to their contents being addressed. If you don't, I'll assume you can't, and aren't worth responding to.

I can see you're likely a child. I won't hurt your feelings anymore, and I apologize if I've scarred your psyche. Please disregard my post that uses big words, and take comfort in the fact that this is the end of our interaction.

Re: I miss the old player/ I don't like this compilation thread
I'm actually planning to SUBSCRIBE to this service. While I do miss the old player's clean interface and organization, this is much better than no GameTap at all, and almost all of the killer games are still here. Besides, it's not as if they had too much choice in the matter, if I recall.
Oh, and if you want to make arguments, do the research, make VALID points, and USE PROPER SPELLING AND GRAMMAR. If you do not, your opinions are immediately discounted in my book and the book of many others. I have nothing against complaints. I have everything against people who fail miserably at making the complaints.

I haven't read any recent complaints in this thread regarding the game library; no one is discussing that here. This thread is specifically to discuss the current web-based UI vs. the previous Desktop client. ihitterdal wrote: Oh, and if you want to make arguments, do the research, make VALID points...I have everything against people who fail miserably at making the complaints.
Did someone recently make INVALID points in his or her post regarding the current/previous UX? Could you point out just a few so he or she can address the "invalid" points made?

Says the person coming to this very thread arguing with the person that is a "pathetic whining troll" with, according to you, no life. Honestly, if this many people have complained that this browser is really really horrid, then just change it back to the old player! How hard can that possibly be?! I have not heard a reasonable enough excuse for Gametap to go back to the good, old player rather than this new garbage, piece of trash browser. Please, oh please Gametap, if you can come up with a better excuse please tell me. And also, let me give you a basic business tip. The customer is always right. The customer says the old player was better, go back to the old player. Why? More money in your pockets. The customer says the new player is bad, the new player is then, bad. What does that mean now? Less money in your pockets. That, Gametap, is business 101.

I am really curious as to what the system tray will be like. The browser client isn't terrible but I can see why people don't like it. I liked both forms. ^ Samurai you gotta be nice (Dont scare away all the people)

Like those in love with the sound of their own voice, I think some people complain just so they can see their own words on the screen. Sad really.

I think what you're seeing are people that feel they shouldn't have to deal with "it" when they're paying money for the service.

If you haven't seen, here's some info on the system tray tool: post160095.htmlIt may improve the experience a bit, and it shows that GT comprehends they can't offer a singular browser based UI and keep all their legacy account holders happy. For the sake of the community, I hope they get that puppy through QA soon. BladeTwinSwords wrote: ^ Samurai you gotta be nice (Dont scare away all the people)
