you will be able to each acquire your own points but we cant let people combine points from different accounts for exploiting reasons

Good thing I work from home. Got my second highest game in almost right away, though. After another few games, all I managed was another 1000+ points! Grrrr. Oh well, at least I might still get 2nd.

I tried to get the game to start, but nothing worked. Opening the page just gave me a small red X in the top corner of the playet. Hitting "reset" just provided a graphic saying it would initialize the game, but it never started after 6 minutes.

Is this a problem with my browser? I hope there is a solution, otherwise I couldn't play in any lunchtime leaderboards and would have to wait until all that non-competetive Grimm crap is finished choking out the Monday Leaderboards.

There are a few possible causes of this, but it all basically boils down to the ActiveX control is unable to install correctly. Please create a thread in the tech support forums, be sure to mention your OS & browser version, and, if you're using Vista, whether you have UAC and IE Protected Mode on, and they'll run you through some of the common solutions. If those don't help, I'll take a look at it myself.

Are we limiting staff participation again? I got 4th place in the tourney but got no love from any of the visible leaderboards on the web. I was hoping I would be able to spank the lunch crowd on a daily basis, but there's not much motivation without visibility.

My Active X problem is solved,but not in a good way. I just won't be able to play. I can't make any changes to that program without Administrator rights and there is no way anyone from IT where I work will help me out on that. So i can't install the GT player at work, or modify Active X. Basically I'm supposed to use it for access to the web, our network drives, and as a MS Office machine. Stupid doodieheads!

i will try to think of a way to display staff dominance without putting us on the points board. i just had to knock us all off for now to get the points right for all our great participants:)

That's OK, my obsessive beta testing nature has caused me to not be able to play. IE8 causes a few problems with the Active X stuff.

I will play the lunchtime games when I get home and compete in spirit if those IT trolls at work are too busy taking their 32nd smoke break to update the software. OR try to organize a small competition in the arcade that just opened up 20 min away from me. :-)

EDIT: by IT trolls I am specifically referring to the three clones of Milton Waddams from +Office Space+ that work there.

Not a particularly fun game, but it's still funny getting kicked in the nuts in a one-hit KO, only to have some red-eyed guy jump in victory.

its all about the perfect form and endless hours of practice... and this game is fun but really really really hard and I can't last more then five seconds fighting the dumb red guy

And about surviving horrible collision detection! Seriously, Shaq Fu has WAY better collision detection! (for the record, I like Shaq Fu)

Where's the Lunchtime Tourney love? Me and my brother are having a field day over here. Besides mad_sweeney and Stephen0149, there doesn't seem to be any real aggressive competition. C'mon 'tappers, step it up. I know you aren't just going to let us steal all the goods for ourselves. I go to college, and I take evening classes; so expect me to be here everyday. My brother doesn't even have to worry about school, so he is just as solid as me on the attendance front. Someone has to help me take down Stephen0149. Who is it going to be? He's begining to obtain a huge lead. That is something I personally don't want to see continue. Props to him for being a solid gamer, but let's get it going out there. Peace out for now, Blue.
