Make it possible to see what version or patch a game is

I could not imagine purchasing a service that would not provide this. Why would I pay to play for a game without getting to know what version it is or if it is working on the most current patches and fixes? Why would I risk paying for buggy, unbalanced, broken games (especially with all the strategy titles on the site)?
