Midway Games Being Removed Temporarily

 Midway Games Being Removed Temporarily If you’ve been following the headlines as of late you know that Midway has been going through some transitions. Coincidentally our license for Midway games is expiring soon and we are in the process of re-negotiating the renewal. For this period between the license expiration and license renewal we will be removing some of Midway’s catalog from the service. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to get these classics back and hopefully a few new ones! The scheduled date for removal is 05.29.09 for the following games.
* Bubbles
* Defender
* Gun Fight
* Hydro Thunder
* Joust
* KLAX
* Rampage
* Robotron 2084
* Root Beer Tapper
* Sea Wolf
* Stargate (Defender II)
* Timber
* Xenophobe

Re: Midway Games Being Removed Temporarily Don't bother wasting time or money on bring anything from the MK franchise to GameTap if there will not be any challenge play.
Playing against the computer gets extremely dull once you figure out the AI's 6 main pre-programmed responses to player moves usually comprises 80-90% of the AI opponent's actions. Playing the computer is monotonous and not fun at all.

Re: Midway Games Being Removed Temporarily Biggest problem I have with MK is the cheap-as-heck bosses (i mean ONE 3-hit combo takes off half your health!? come on!) That said, I do enjoy that series.....
Hey, if it's being sold off, i wonder if Capcom would buy it, maybe then we could finally see Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter!

I want my hands on some TNA Impact. If you bring that to Gametap that sure will give wrestling fans a reason to love gametap EVEN more xD

Well Mortal Kombat can easily be made multiplayer[ I have it on Xbox Live]. I dont know if gametap does arcade versus anymore but having that when Mortal Kombat gets added then everyone better start getting use to the controls cause it gets hard as hell Lol.

Dude.. they've been "REMOVED" lmao... which means gametap doesnt have them anymore.. And if they did i doubt they would put 16 games free at the same time. They're doing the 5 game thing now.
