 Mysterious Journey II memory full

Post Mysterious Journey II memory full
I am a little ways into Mysterious Journey II and when I get to a certain point in the game, I get a window from the game telling me that "memory is full" and boots me out of the game. I have plenty of memory on my computer so I don't understand why I keep getting this message. How do I overcome this problem.

do you have any external storage devices or virtual disk programs. IE daemon tools, alcohol 120%, magic iso etc?

also, do you have any discs in a cd-rom drive?
