Post Need to disable gamepad in browser games!
Has anyone found a way to stop GT from sensing my plugged in gamepad? You see, my gamepad partially works, despite the 'Controller' panel being entirely blank. Depending on the emulated platform, the buttons either do absolutely nothing, or some of them work. It doesn't matter, cause I've finally set up xpadder to allow me to use my gamepad with any game properly. Sadly, I can't turn off GT's actual gamepad support, which causes issues, even with xpadder.

For example, in Street Fighter Alpha, one of the main buttons is the insert coin/start functions. The only solution is to simply avoid using the button altogether, since GT thinks I'm constantly inserting coins and pressing start. In the case of SFA this means that I'm getting the insert coin sound every 5 seconds, and once a round, my fighter does a taunt, usually with awful timing.

I can't just remove my gamepad because I still want to use it, I can't turn it off in GT. I'm trying to find a way to block the gamepad while still having it plugged in and active in Windows but I really shouldn't have to. I've scoured xpadder but it I can't find an option to do this.

The button in question is the triangle on a Playstation pad. I'd like to be able to use it. Any suggestions?

Hey shawnasativa, I have also had a similar issue with another gamepad I've used in the past. I myself can't think of any way to turn off the gamepad support, I just simply used a different gamepad (Xbox 360 controller). It makes sense that one of the DDL files in the Gametap web player is responsible for this, but the player fails if you try to remove any of them. I was thinking it was tnginput.dll, but just a thought. It's annoying, I hear you.
Mine it it exactly like yours when I did have the issue, just for the start button mapped to the controller.

Ya....I am having a few issues with my gamepad as well. I have a logitech dual action gamepad. It works great but has a few issues here and there.

I think I figured out a workaround by pure accident. Unplug your controll and start your game. After the game starts, plug in your controller, and the game itself does not recognize your controller. But you can still use Xpadder just fine.

What game did you try this with? Sadly for me, GT immediately detected my gamepad as soon as I re-inserted it. Thanks for the effort though, I thought it had a chance of working...

Well tonight I guess the same for me too. Sorry, thought I had it that time. Can see how this does get annoying, really should be able to map our own buttons. One post a while bac said that the controller not found shows up for generic controllers. But I don't believe anyone sees differently no matter what gamepad you have, do they?
