Heroes Of Might & Magic V: Gold
When the Griffin Empire is attacked without warning by Demons, war is inevitable. Take control of the young Queen Isabel as she rides out to face the Demons, and build vast armies of fantasy creatures as you fight for the Empire in tactical battles. With a new storyline, factions, units, and now full 3D graphics, this is the biggest Heroes of Might and Magic experience yet. The GameTap version also includes the Hammers of Fate and Tribes of the East expansion packs.

I'm stoked. It's about time we got an awesome game I haven't already purchased :p And with all the expansion packs to boot? Two thumbs up!

this game looks sweet. i cant wait to play this one. i usually play the 3rd one, so im pumped. hopefully it gets working very soon.

The third is by far is the best one not counting 5 of course. The forth one was so ugly and differant I couldn't get used to it. Enough with the bright pastel colours!

I couldn't get into 4 because everything in the interface was represented with abstract symbols. Ok, is the fist strength, or damage? And what's this squiggly?

Drat it all. Just when I thought I could finally download it I'm encountering the wierd download button links to the game library bug! Arg!!

same here, i click the download link and it takes me to what type of subscription service that i have, which is premium by the way. as of right now, i cannot download it

Curious, when I click download it takes me to "My Games", like it's downloading it, and the GametapPlayer.exe is running constantly, like it's downloading it, but it doesn't show up in "My Download Queue".

I swear if this turns into another Dark Crusade deal I'm going to...uh..well..I ll be really sad!

Glad to know I'm not alone.

I seem to be getting up to about 350 MB before it corrupts, but corrupt it does. Find the bug. Squish the bug. Hang the bug. Shoot the bug. Draw and quarter the bug, and then burn it for good measure.

After a few tries I made it all the way to ~900MB before it 4100 on me. After that I resumed it and babysat it the rest of the way since it would periodically stop on it's own (not 4100, just stop). It finished about 45 min ago and seems to run just fine so far.

Has there been any progress in isolating the fiendish bug responsible for the 4100 errors? Seems like the problem is still out there.

Yep, still giving me the error.

I'm switching from firefox to ie for one last try.

But don't worry. As soon as they get the kinks of of the new player, I'm sure they'll get right on this.

I got the 4100 error at about 3/4th of the way done, I just started it again and it worked fine. I haven't tried the expansion packs though, so one of those might be broken. Still, most of the time when I get 4100 errors the solution is to just start it back running until it finishes and see if it works.

That's what I've found works for most 4100 errors. Hit stop then start until it starts running again.

i finally got mine working and i will say a very addictive game

Any progress with fixing this yet? I've used IE and Firefox and either way it stops at 334.8mb every time.

Alabama: how did you manage it? Mine won't restart after it spits the 4100 error.

Yeah, same issue. If I refresh and page and hit start, I can slowly jiggle a few more kb's out of it. Currently at 339.3 MB.
