And so did this (although maybe I just didn't see it coming up).
Apparently it has a BAFTA-nominated soundtrack, though.

while you're at it....you might....you might want to look at your pipeline real quick Cthu.
Looks like there's still a kink or two in there.

Wow. I can't believe GT actually got this. I remember playing this game a few years ago. Kind of a turn based "board game" style political sim. It's definiately different and innovative as strategy games go.
Unfortunately, it's marred by a very obtuse control scheme and tutorials that really don't do all that much tutoring. It can also be unimaginatively dull at times.
If you're a Poli Sci major or a student of the Russian Revolution, definiately give this a look. Otherwise, I think this game is just a little too esoteric for the GT community at large.

Do I detect a whiff of condescension on the breeze?

Sorry about that. I assure you that condescension was never my intent. I probably should have worded that a bit differently. Republic: The Revolution is definitely a good game (once you get around the somewhat cumbersome interface). It just seems that this is a game that is going to have very limited appeal.

I really want to get into this game, but I cannot figure out the part where you're conversing with someone. You distribute points to 4 boxes, there's something about rounds, the boxes pop on the screen in random order, a bunch of numbers I can't figure out... Somehow I win the conversation but I don't know how, I don't even know what they're saying to each other since it's in Russian. You'd think they could at least put subtitles.

I had a rough time as well. Did some searching on the "net" and checked out a few walkthroughs to get the hang of it. Even managed to find a manual. Which... wasn't all that great. The speech is (according to one of the walkthroughs) in Russian gibberish, so don't worry about what they're saying.

Yes, were it not for GT's instructions I would have been completely lost, instead of just somewhat lost.
