Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2
Was waiting for Two Worlds 2 all day yesterday. Now that it's out, the game tells me i'm subscribed to the Classic Pack, when I am in fact a premium ಠ_ಠ.
Edit: Got it working, had to click the link, not the big green button.

Sweetness. I was also thinking about picking up Twin Sector at retail a few days ago, so this is a double win for me. It got meh reviews, but it still looks like an interesting game.

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
Almost got Two Worlds 2 the day you guys announced it was coming here. That alone pretty much paid for my 60 dollar a year subscription. Even with a few problems you guys have had, which I must say are improving vastly, this is a great value. Keep up the great work!

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
So I don't think my system is beefy enough to run Two Worlds 2 (which is ok -- been playing King's Bounty, Blood Bowl & others anyway) but I saw Two Worlds at GameStop for $5. Thought about picking it up, but was curious if anyone here knew if the first one was going to be coming to GT?

If you can play King's Bounty and Blood Bowl, then Two Worlds II should be within your PC requirements. You just might not be able to use all the enhancements. http://www.twoworlds2.com/es/339,two-wo ... ents-.htmlThe original Two Worlds looks to be around the same requirements.

Not into RPG's at all. Way too time consuming. Need more action and shooters. Bout to try Twin Sector.....looks interesting.

$5 isn't a bad price for it. Haven't played it, but the reviews for it were pretty meh. As in, voice acting, controls, and graphics were all way below par for a PC RPG. Two Worlds 2 is supposed to be a huge improvement.

Yeah, Two Worlds 1 was pretty blah. So far Two Worlds 2 seems much better, though the in game help for commands could be VASTLY improved. I keep having to dig through the long list of commands under settings to find out how to do things. Other than that complaint, having fun so far. Only other thing that could be a bit better was the main characters voice. He sounds like a robot, the rest aren't to bad.

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
Just once I wish a game would work flawlessly so I didn't have to waste my time trying to get things to function(no wonder consoles have become so popular). After I download the game the green circle appears and the just when I think its going to work it crashes to "TwoWorlds2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Win XP Intel single core 3.0ghz Radeon HD 4850 1GB 2GB RAM
Tried new graphics drivers(11.4) and old(10.9)(driversweeper to make sure they were really deleted). Uninstalled physx and reinstalled. Deleted and redownloaded game. Nothing worked. Don't think I am missing codecs.

Just a guess, I have no idea, but do your specs meet the minimum requirements? Just seem a bit low to me.

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
I picked up Two Worlds 1 in a bargin bin last year. I found it hilarious because it was so easy to trick the (indestructable) NPC into firing on and getting into a fight with a whole town. After he killed them to the last man I made a fortune selling most of their equipment and got a huge head start on the game keeping the best stuff for myself.
Then I maxed out one fire magic spell early on that could incinerate most guys with one shot and used it to kill all the mysterious paladins that speak in riddles to you.
And then there were the little things you can pick up and drop in a city that summon hordes of monsters and kill everyone in sight at night. That was much more fun than using them to complete side quests!

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
Dreammosaic: My system more than meets minimums listed but I will most likely have to lower a few settings, but I can live with that. The way things are going I may never know.
Horosco: there should be a manual in the game folder likely path: C:\GameTap\Games\twoworlds2uk/manual.pdf
Finally got it working. Tried everything and I mean everything. It ended up needing DirectX update.

These 2 titles are from Disney and we need to expand our subscription agreement to US territory in order to release them on GTAP. Complex & long negociation, depending the publisher. Another thing you have to keep in mind when checking EU subscription releases is that on GTAP there's only one offer/Pack (9.9$) when in EU we have 2 (Essential at 9.9€ and Premium at 19.9€), which give us more flexibility and "bizness appeal" to get approvals for AAA. It doesn't mean we will never release these games on GTAP...

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
The description for Two Worlds II isn't kidding about requiring DirectX 9.0c. It seems to require exactly that version, no earlier or later, or the game won't start at all. I wasn't aware I needed to lookup and install an old version of DirectX (mine is version 11), it took me a couple hours to figure it out.

Re: New game day: Two Worlds 2 & Twin Sector
Maybe you already have 9.0c installed as well from a different game or something? I still have the directx 11 drivers installed, but the game would not start until after I ran the installer for 9.0c as well. From my event log the game was definately having an appcrash triggered by a missing component that the 9.0c installer added. When the game was developed 9.0c was the latest version so nobody could have known a machine that has only a much later version might be missing a needed file.
I've run into similar situations before with Windows runtime libraries for vb and c++ for example. I've had the same kinds of problems with software I've built myself when I wasn't very careful about checking dependencies and linking dll's.
I also had to click through a few popups with warnings about PhysX not being installed when I first downloaded the game because a more recent version of PhysX was detected on my system (from some game I played before, I guess). The developers were just a little sloppy with not checking that before launching a separate installer which exits incorrectly telling me that installation failed and I should try again. I thought that might have derailed the install of the rest of the game, but it appears to run fine now. I just wanted to document it in case someone else encounters the same issue.

I downloaded Two Worlds and when I press the play button all I get is a green circle for a few seconds & then nothing. My computer meets or exceeds the requirements for the game. I'm running Windows 7.
