well you can keep the games as long as you want no late fees and pretty cheap too.

I had it for a couple months and it was well worth the money. I actually used it to save money by renting brand new just released games and then buying them at the used "keep it" price so it ended up paying for itself.
But then the games started to get lost in the mail and they said if any more went missing I would have to start paying for them because they must have thought I was stealing them so I just canceled it.

Post Re: Opinions bout Gamefly.
I use GameFly, but they are definitely no Netflix. I did some test with mailing back multiple games, and feel confident in saying that they do throttle. They frequently hold games and don't check them in after receiving them, and they claim to have mailed games that they don't send out for a few days. I have had instances where games have taken 2 weeks to reach me. US mail never takes 2 weeks. I have also had a couple of times where I sent back to games in the same envelope, and they "arrived" a week apart from each other.

That is the bad part.

The good part is that they seem to have gotten better over the last year. Most games arrive in 2 days. Still not as good as Netflix, but good enough. In the ~5 years I have used them, I have only had 1 disk that was physically broken, and about 5 that were not playable due to scratches. I would say that is a very good track record. I semi regularly buy used games from them, and every single one of the used games has be pristien. No scratches at all, and the packaging is 100% complete.

I do think it is a little expensive, but obviously not so expensive that it has made me cancel. A couple of years ago when they were taking 1-2 weeks for delivery, I came close a couple of times.

Hope that helps.

What's up all? Well......signed up for Gamefly I'll let y'all know how it flys. Quick ? though.....do they notify you when they send a game out? I selected my games so does it just automatically start after that? thanks.

You should like this service. I signed up for it for about a year and my experience was good, overall. It usually takes 2-5 days to get your game once they send it out. You can sign up for mobile messages when they send out and receive games for free. Otherwise, you'll just get an email each time. The new releases are really hard to get, but that's the reason for the game queue. The medium and high availability games you can usually get within a day or so, but the low availability games take a long time before they are available. To answer your question, once your games are selected they start sending right out the next business day, or before if in the morning. You can even change your game queue up until a game says "in progress".

Like Skaught mentioned, sometimes there is a delay over a week to receive your game, but they do ship out on Saturdays. The weird thing is when you ship back your game, some post offices can get the game to Gamefly in 24 hours, while others take 2-3 days so I'd experiment and try different places if that's an option. Especially avoid using the blue pickup boxes, I'd suggest taking directly to the post office for the fastest results, if possible.

You can of course keep a game as long as you want, as long as you're paying for the service they don't care. They give you some time before they charge you for games once your subscription is up (a week I think), which Netflix doesn't even do that. I just stopped using it because I found myself keeping the games longer and longer, and it became cheaper just to purchase them. Basically, you just get burnt out on it, hehe. I hope you get some use out of it.

Later!

yes they do notify you when your games come in, and yes you start right away when you have an active acount.
any other question are answered in the help/faq section

I've finished Dead Space 2 last week, IT WAS AWESOME. A lot of epic sequences, the last hour is f****** CRAZY AWESOME ... I loved it. And it still was scary.
