I have been waiting about 2 weeks for my game tap account to be canceled via the help ticket I sent in. I don't have an order number like every other angry "---" person out there. Could someone from the higher ups please respond to this? I don't want to have to pay another silly monthly fee just to wait for my account to be canceled. Come on Game Tap, I don't know if I'm barking to the wrong people, but get your crap together, this no support thing is a joke. Grow up and be like every other successful internet gaming company, such as Steam, and now even Blizzard with their new BNet. You have to be pushing some for of legal thingy by making me pay another fee while waiting to cancel my account.

My understanding is that no one is going to be charged while outstanding cancelation requests exist.

Hmmm maybe this whole speel is partly my fault as well, I can't seem to find that ticket number either. Jeeze, I wonder what I did...

Anyways, since you guys were so fast to respond, could you walk me through how to cancel my account if I have no order number?

Fill out everything (Choose Billing for the area, be sure to include the TapID for the main account.) IIRC you have to hit "Submit" once on that page, and then there's a confirmation page, be sure you click all the way through everything. You should recieve an automatic response email saying they got your ticket. If not something went wrong.

I'm having the same problem. I canceled in march because I bought a new machine with the uncompatible Vista. Fast forward to present day...
I just checked my bank statements and ive been getting charged the premium since march! So i sent 2 support emails so far through the eptica self service module, and so far still no response.

I just tried to cancel, but half the pages jump on me and try to force me to install the plugin, so i downloaded the stupid plugin just so i can freely attempt to cancel my membership... AGAIN.

but now when i try to downgrade it does nothing. when i press the cancel subsrciption button, I explain why im canceling, WHICH I ALREADY DID IN MARCH. and then i put in the order number 20679.

I was actually an extremely satisfied customer until this happened. When i canceled i had every intention of returning once vista was compatible. at this point, i want nothing to do this gametap.

i am trying to cancel my account as well. can anyone tell me where i can find my order number. i also do not understand why it is so difficult to cancel my account. i think this is a big scheme. and i am going to report you guys to the bbb. cancel my account. thanks.

I cannot figure out how to cancel either, i believe i will be getting in touch with the bbb as well. My bank account has been getting charged for over three years. I've tried numerous times to cancel to no avail.
it's really gettin on my nerves as we havent played on gametap in years either and every time i check my bankaccount there is just more money going to you guys.

why on earth don't you have a contact number for situations like this? totally angry right now

also, i cannot remember what my id or what email i used to register was as it was so long ago. if someone could give me an email addy i can write to so i can give you the info, is there any way you can find my account and cancel? i tried logging on with every combo i could think of and it doesnt work.

There should be some kind of number in the charge, like a reference number, that you can point to for the most recent charge. You can also provide them the credit card number or bank account number so that they can adequately locate your account information and take care of everything as hastily as possible.

If anybody is having issues trying to cancel their account, please pm me and I will look into it.

Cancelling your account for a service should not require the Spanish Inquisition. It should be a one-click to open a screen, choose the cancel button, and you're done. Anything else smacks of theft by misdirection.
