Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
Strange...I scored 2000-something in Space Invaders earlier, around 12:30 eastern or so, posted my score and saw it in the tourney leaderboard. Now my score has disappeared from the boards entirely. What's up with that? :/
edit: I scored 2090 to be exact, my score is showing on my buddies' leaderboard but not at all on the global leaderboard, not in tourneys, not in weekly, monthly, nothing. :(

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
Some of the regular leaderboard crew are unable to play during those hours for various reasons. I saw some of the scores going up and many of those wouldn't stand a chance of getting on the board during a full Monday tournament. The lunchtime boards are like Monday-lite. Fewer people playing, shorter times for submissions = lower scores. I'd say it is to be expected. Just enjoy the games and go collect your points you lucky S.o.B. hehehe. /jealousoff

It's nice to see the normal tournaments returning to Gametap. The Grimm games are cool and all but I was starting to miss the classic gameage. Just wondering though, when u guys going have Super-Breakout, Galaxian, Asteroids, Missle Command or Timber? I can't remember the last time I saw any of these games (if at all) in a tourney. It would be nice to see them, I really like playing the games I just listed. Let me know if ya do. Long live the arcade!

Dang it! That last poat was supposed to be in my name. IncrediRed! I'm tired of Blue hogging the scene, and when I finally post my own comments; I accidently forget to change the profile that is logged in. I just want to let it be known that those are the games that I want to show up in the future tournaments. I even have playlists dedicated to purely arcade games. By the way, if you want to subsribe to it, it's called Arcade Greatest. You should definitely check it out. Anyway, I can't believe I made such a foolish mistake.

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
I'd love to see Megamania, Demon Attack, or Video Pinball - all from the Atari 2600 system. The best part about video pinball is that the score rolls over after 999,999. That includes all the bonus points after a ball is lost. Even when you tilt you still get the bonus points. So you have to be very careful not to roll over but land exactly at 999,999. The only thing in the game that gives you the small, single points are spinners on the side and they are unpredictable.
It's not too hard to get the score up in that area, but its really hard to land a perfect set of 9s.

Did i hear right? Nighttime? Do you mean evening tourney's? If so that's good to hear because I don't have enough time during the day at work for the lunchtime tourney's even on my laptop!!!!

As much as I appreciate the love from a couple of days ago, it looks like I won't be a factor for the foreseeable future, unless they include alternate times to play. Just when I actually say something about how great things are, it smacks me in the face! Blah. Oh well. Good luck to the other fellas!

Nighttime. Hard to compete in lunch tourneys when I'm at work :( Also being on Pacific time means lunchtime tourneys are actually morning tourneys and I am NOT a morning person, to say the least! :P

I enjoy the shorter length ones personally, and any time is going to be okay for me considering I work at ungodly early hours

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
If I were forced to pick a time of day, I'd definitely prefer nighttime hours for future tournaments. Otherwise, I'd prefer day-long/Monday tournament-style of hours. The full day schedule at least gives the most people an opportunity to compete. The more the merrier, I say.

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
If the tourneys are between Mon-Fri I can only play after work -- 5 or 6pm EST. If they are on the weekend, I can play anytime.
Maybe like a 6pm-midnight tournament time EST... so that'd be 3pm-9pm for the west coast US people just to make sure they wouldn't miss out on the after-work goodness.

I think I've traced the problem I'm having to a glitch in sub-account permissions. buddha420 is a subaccount. If I checkmark EMAIL under buddha420's account permissions from my main account, it disables my ability to post scores. If I uncheck EMAIL it allows me to post leaderboard scores but it keeps switching buddha420's profile to hidden, and won't allow me to share it. So it seems as though I can either have a public profile or post to the leaderboards, but not both. Pretty odd bug, if you could let the programmers know that would be great!

its being looked at now buddha420 and i'll get back to you as soon as I know whats up. i would just say switch it so you can post while you are playin then swap it back after. that'll at least let you get on the boards for now.
Elevator Action tournament is goin on now so ya'll should get to playin:)

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
Yay! It seems my score-posting and profile-sharing problems have been fixed! I just wish I had a little more time to compete in the tournament before I have to go to work! :P

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
Wow! I barely got that score in, there were only five minutes left in the tournament. I started way late, and thought it wasn't going to happen for me; but another third place finish is always cool. Consistency isn't so bad. See y'all later. Peace, Blue.

Don't forget to enter two credits to start the game in Colony 7. You get extra firepower that way.

Re: Lunchtime Leaderboard Tournament Discussion
What's stopping players from making several subaccounts and playing all of them in the tourneys? I see IncrediBlue has a new doppelganger in IncrediRed, and they're currently in 2nd and 3rd. It doesn't seem fair if I were to make buddhas421 thru 426 and take all the top spots in a game at which I was good. ( P.S. I didn't mean to single u out IncrediBlue/Red it's just you made me notice it. :) )
