Every week we will pick two rival games, play them with you, then head to the forums to debate the highs and lows of each title, vote for your champion, and hopefully crown a winner. The winning game will go on to the next round of Gametap Thunderdome to duke it out with a new game.

Robotgorilla and LittlestCthulhu will be in the challenge lobby all day, .

h2. Season 1 Recap
Round 1: A bloody and battered Magical Drop III is now exiled from Thunderdome. Its pride mortally wounded, head hanging low, it must now return home to Mrs. Magical Drop III and the Magical Droplets to deliver the bad news, there will be no Christmas this year for the Magical Drop III family... also the bank foreclosed on their house, oh and also their dog died. On the other hand, the triumphant Bust-A-Move is off celebrating with wine, women, and song.

Round 2: King Aurthur and his knights trampled over the vigilantes of Final Fight, who will go back to slumming it in the streets of Metro City. And that was the last summer I spent with Cody, Haggar, and Guy. Last I heard Cody got caught up in the crime racket and is serving 30 to life in San Quentin. Haggar followed through with his life long dream of becoming the governor of California, running on a platform of "pile-drivers for the people". I still talk to Guy from time to time, in a strange twist of fate he married Poison after visiting him/her in the hospital while he/she was recovering from a flying roundhouse kick to the face. King Arthur and the knights of the round will return to fight in a future round of Thunderdome.

Click either of the two games above. If you already have the GameTap Player installed, simply click on the green Play button. Otherwise, click on the Download button, and follow the simple installation instructions.

If prompted, log in to the GameTap Player using your TapID. Need a TapID? Get it here!

You will be immediately redirected to the game's Overview. If you haven't already downloaded the game, simply click on the yellow Download button to start. Check out our handy instructions while you're waiting, and reconfigure the controls if necessary. When you're ready to play, click on the Challenge Lobby button.

Once you're in the Challenge Lobby, click on the Become a Contender button to join the fray.

To challenge somebody, click their screename and then the Challenge button. Once your opponent accepts the challenge, click the Start Match button that appears on screen.

Once you've determined the better of the two games, vocalize your preference in the forum thread or chat lobby.

Vote for the game you think is the best . The winner will go on to the next round to face a new challenger.

Not to be nit-picky, but the spelling and grammatical errors in this are really bugging me. But back on the topic of the current "Tunderdome" match....Pong? Really? Pong vs. Anything, Pong loses.

Pong is a contender this week because the list of games we had to choose from was fairly limited. I wouldn't consider it one of my favorites, but it is a challenge game, and it holds an important spot in the history of video games and its influence can still be felt today, Wii Sports Tennis is a great example of Pong gameplay implemented in a modern way.

What is it about Pong you don't like?

I can agree with most of that, I think high stakes Pong would be much less boring. Hopefully we'll have some Pong defenders visit the thread.

Must be a miscount. I think people were confused by the ballot. Better check for hanging chads.

I voted Pong. Half because Joust's floaty physics always send me into lava, half out of spite because Final Fight, the only beat-em-up I will ever consider putting in my "Favorite Games Of All Time" list (I don't hate the genre, I just consider Final Fight amazing) lost to Knights of the Round, so now I must destroy other peoples' dreams. >:(

Pong = Pong 'nuff said

Pong. It is better when alcohol is involved. If you play some electronic music with the game it is also more fun.

It was a close fight, but Joust pulled ahead at the last minute and delivered a knock out blow to Pong. The next round of Thudnerdome will be on November 5, and will be undergoing a bit of a face lift.
