"Listen on, listen on, this is the truth of it. Gaming leads to fighting, and fighting gets to flame wars, and that was near the death of our forum. But we've learned by locked threads, Gametap's learned. Gametap Thunderdome is simple, play the challenge games, and defend them in the forum. Two games enter, one game leaves."
Every week we will pick two rival games, play them with you, then head to the forums to debate the highs and lows of each title, vote for your champion, and hopefully crown a winner. The winning game will go on to the next round of Gametap Thunderdome to duke it out with a new game.

Re: WTF Wednesday: Thunderdome Round 8 (2/04/09)
I'd have to pick Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo II over Mean Bean Machine. A lot of characters like Ryu get totally screwed over on their gem drop design being that his drops colors vertically making it easy as crud to get rid of while ken's drop is verticle and being that there is hardly EVER a time where you have an even height on your gems it always screws up anything you are trying to do and is very hard to clear. But despite that it has a more going on than bean machine and it's fun to construct bigger gems in order to totally murder the other guy with huge gem combos.
On the other hand the bean machine delivers a lot more puzzle game probably with a simple design and more options to play the puzzle instead of just against the computer, but it's a console game not relying on quarters to choose options for it. If I were in a tournament to win against another player I'd want to play puzzle fighter but if it was a tournament for points probably mean bean machine.
So anyway, puzzle figher just has a better feel to me and there's more to the main game, and also I'm not a big fan of the later sonic years when he got the insane show on USA teaching kids how not to get molested because that's "No Good", and the drawings used in the game are that of this preschool oriented show. The only plus was Jaleel White still playing his voice instead of the awfulness of his voice in other voice acted sonic games that still continue...

On the other hand, the wacky Sonic series is the one I absolutely love (the Sonic Sez segment at the end just makes it even better for me), mainly because it's so surreal. And I had Mean Bean Machine as a kid, so I'm definitely picking it.

Puzzle Fighter definitely excels when it comes to 2 player, it's unfortunate that we do +not+ have challenge play enabled for it.
Typo? I see no typo.

Puzzle fighter. The only real drawback is you cannot play against others on gt. I like street fighter everything though, so maybe I'm biased.

Re: WTF Wednesday: Thunderdome Round 8 (2/04/09)
Since it was not specifically noted that the games had to be played with the GT service, I have to pick:
Puzzle Fighter
The 2-player action is just so much fun, and quite addicting. I remember playing a lot of puzzle fighter with my roommate... but then we got Worms and that was the end of Puzzle Fighter.
I've never really enjoyed the Sonic spinoff stuff, just mainly the core games. The Bean Machine didn't hold my interest like the Puzzle Fighter could.
Overall its about the 2-player mode for me since I didn't really care for either game much in 1-player mode.

Mean Bean Machine is so much better
Mean bean machine doesnt require the breakers which means you have a lot more control over your plan of attack. in super puzzle fighter its all about going as fast as you can so you get to the breakers first. and ken is the only good character

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo beat the mean bean pants off Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. Next week will begin some very interesting cross-genre matches.

After having thoroughly San Jose Asian Escort discussed the fine line San Jose Asian Escorts between escort services and prostitution, there is no San Jose Escort denying that there is a huge possibility this single line will be crossed every now and then. After having San Jose Escorts thoroughly discussed the fine line between escort services and prostitution,
