i was playing socom2 and on the last mission i get killed in the funniest way ok im sitting on top of the building getting shot at and im shooting at this guy that wouldent die he throws a granade up beside me i move to the edge of the building wich was 2 feet away then it blows up and i go flying like super-man off the building and into the water cause the town was fluded.

one of the funniest things that ever happened to me in a video game was actually the first time i beat driver for ps

on the last stage (where the mob chases you and tries to kill the president), i got rammed thrice simultaneously by evil mob cars and taxis while rounding a corner towards the edge of the map and got pushed through a building via a glitch. my car tumbled about while careening in black background (with occasional glitch graphics) until popping out into glitchy blue background (i ended up waaaaaay out at sea) and catching fire. somehow, the area it ended up in registered as the target area i was driving to just before blowing up and even though the president exploded/drowned a few seconds later it ran the end game sequence and i beat the game by strange default. it didnt help things that right before i got accidentally hit by the 3 cars that sent me on my weird journey i had told me friend "dude, dude, watch this" (i thought i was going to make them hit each other and get away)...i never let him know the strange glitchiness was on accident and he thinks i have magical video game powers (hope he isnt reading)

One time I put about 12 hours into Baldur's Gate and the next time I started Gametap the game disappeared.
Oh wait- that wasn't funny. :(

well it might not be funny but it did happen so i guess it counts.

One night my husband and I had His brother and his wife over, we were playing Silent hill 2, way back when it was new. It came to one of the stupid babysitting missions, and we were told not to let her die, so my husband turned around and shot her in the head, and when she fell to the ground and we got a game over it was the funniest thing.... I think back then we were so used to game that would not let characters get hurt with friendly fire so it was just great that she bit it. Plus it did not hurt that we had all had a few drinks and it was about 3am.

I remember working through Ultima VIII (which I hope to see on Gametap one day) with a pal. The game would take 10 minutes to load. We were progressing at about the same speed, and were helping each other out.

So, I was at his house one night, I had played ahead of him, but didn't tell him. There was this part in the game where you have to make a leap of faith, and jump onto a platform you can't see. Knowing this, when we get to this part of the game, I'm sitting at the keyboard and he is watching. We haven't saved all evening. My plan is to scare him by seeming to jump into the lava, only to safely land on the platform. I take of running for the edge, jump, and was a step to the left of where I needed to be. I missed the platform, his character falls into the lave, and a good 2 hours of work was lost just like that.

It wasn't all that funny at the time.

Hmmmm.......... i gotta think...... ok, one time in T.H.U.G. 2 i bailed on a sk8 stopper and it glitched. i think one time he "acted" like he saked it on a rail. one thing. he did not grind. tried 2 do a 540 kickflip, should have done it off a QP. just think if that was YOU. ow

In GRAW 2 on Xbox Live a week back, I was starting what was supposed to be a 3 on 3 team deathmatch. My 2 other temamates left the game leaving me to kick the other team alone for a half an hour. It was my first time on that map but I needed to learn it. I eventaully won the game by a score of about 45 to 9.

the funniest thing ive seen on ff11 was actually in die-namis where half the group didnt bring any useful items expecting other people to just raise them when they died and to top it off some guy thought that the name of the game was to touch as many statues as possible in the shortest amount of time

One thing that was always hillarious to me yet pissed my friends off is I would spend HOURS practicing telefragging in Unreal Tournament (throwing your translocator to were your oppent is standing and teleporting into them killing them instantly) We would run around diffrent maps for hours and my only weapon was the translocator. In some maps I would top the frag counts with nothing but telefrags.

One of my friends ended up coming up to me and cursing me out for about 10 mins straight. Ahhh good times :)

I was playing Counter Strike Source on that rundown mansion map(chateau?) and I'm in the square target room by the wine cellar. I'm about to go into the cellar when 2 CTs burst in, get scared and try to flashblang me. Well, they manage to blind me with it, and I start strafing and spraying and praying and take them both out without taking a single hit by the time it wears off. They manged to blind themselves with it too, so they just stood still. XD What made it even funnier was I was near the bottom of the scores and they both had great scores and kill/death ratios.

one time playing rouge trooper i was in an online game and there were these robot guys coming and i get killed and fall down this giant crack in the ground then another guy gets killed with a flaming granade and he fell down the crack he looked like a meteor crashing down to earth.

Once on AVATAR the MUD, Mendek the uber moderator noticed that he was being spammed with system messages that my character was being killed repeatedly. When he found me and my high level friend there, I just looked at him and asked if I could help him. He asked me why/how I kept dying so fast, and why I was in such a high-level area when my character was only 5th level. I explained that I was having my high level friend planeshift my lower level character there where a high level aggro mob was sitting, which would then instakill my lower level character. Along with my character's corpse, it would drop my character's sliced-off body parts. I explained that I was collecting my body parts. Then, my character, in the "heaven" area, would stand up, walk to a different room so that my high level friend could port him back, and that then we would start it over again, and that we had macros set up so that we could do it all very quickly. I handed a magic bag to Mendek, and he seemed very disturbed to find that it contained several hundred sets of my character's appendages, heads, and torsos. He gave the bag back to me and then told me to log out, wait five minutes, and log back in. I did so, and found that he had switched my character's connect settings to an unused system port on a different server where he made the high level aggro mob autoappear in "heaven" and made "heaven" an aggro area (he also tinkered with the room type to make it so that items never disappear), so I just sat there for a few hours and watched the body parts pile up. He came back eventually, horrified to find me still logged on, stopped the mob from attacking, and let me pick up the items and put them in my magic bag. Then he changed my connect settings back and I was able to keep my magic bag full of my character's body parts. Thousands upon thousands of them. He then told me to never speak of it again to him, or to even speak to him again period. After that, I stopped leveling my character and spent the rest of the time randomly handing out my body parts (which some characters could eat to avoid hunger penalties) to unsuspecting adventurers.

Maybe not so much funny, as disturbing. MMMMM@Kzinti stew.

OK, One time I was playing Metal Gear Solid 2, the tanker part. My buddy lent me his codebreaker, so I got the stealth camo and unlimited ammo. Anyway, I got to the holds where you have to sneak past a whole room full of marines looking at the projection. So, I used the stealth and my tranqulizer gun and I put every single one of the marines to sleep. Man, the slowdown from all the KOed guys, the game ran at about 1/5 of its normal real-time gameplay. It was so slow, and just the sight of about 100 guys with Zs off their heads, and snoring sound every 1/2 a second; I laughed for about 5 minutes!

The funniest (and also annoying, but still funny) thing that happened in my video games is:

My friends and I play Starcraft co-op on a LAN line (about 4 or 5 of us) and we're doing well against the enemies when all of a sudden one of us is like, "Hey, my base is destroyed! The Zerg are nowhere near me!" Well, we have this friend who likes to turn off his 'alliance' button in the middle of combat and start attacking all of his friends bases while they are off hunting the Zerg; then he laughs hilariously while we all call him a jerk and gang up on him. And sometimes he'll hide a few of his pieces REALLY good so when we think we've eliminated him, he'll still be in the game laughing at us and we'll be like, "WTF!"

Needless to say, we don't hang out with him anymore... :D

There was this one time in Call of Duty 3 on Fuel Plant. It was deathmatch and somebody shot me. But for no reason the corpse flew up about 150 feet i the air for no reason. There is nothing more hilarious than watching your dead corpse fly after somebody killed you.

rofl ok um you know in bubble bobble when you pop open those bubbles with water in them? well i poped it open at the same time somebody killed me and it looked like i puked up water. XD

I was playing Bomberman on the SNES with my brother and on one of the stage we stumbled on a sequence that Killed the four bomberman and resulted in a draw. by the time we figured we did the exact same sequence each time we were both rolling on the floor and my mother seemed to be wondering what had took over us.

Another one that was pretty funny was in CHampions of Norrath 2 still playing with my brother. on one of the first stage a boss start attacking us so I decide to run away and the boss start chasing me. My brother to rescue me start chasing after it and an enemy start chasing after my brother. as I run I start going in circles catching up to the enemy running after my brother so it gave the situation that cartoony feel as the four chases after each other. It ended because I couldn't look at the screen anymore since we were laughing so hard

once i was playing halo 1 for pc on multiplayer blood gulch. I jump in the air and i land on this brown space. All you can see is the halo ring. So i fire a rocket launcher in the ground it gos through and so do I. So it looks like im surfing on the missle. When i hit the ground all 11 players die. Is that funny or weird?

I was playing Star Wars: Jedi Academy. Old game. But anyway, I was on a CTF server. I grabbed the blue flag, and dashed to the red base. 3 Blue people come out of no where, shooting a sniper-barrage. I dodge one, and suddenly Everyone blows up! Seriously, Spontanious combustion. All of our bodies flew everywhere. A decent LOL.

ok 2 mins ago in toejam & earl i jumped off one world and landed in level 9 or 10 i dont know but i landed on top of a......tree...that dosent evre happen i always fall on the ground instead i fell and bounced on a tree......if you ever happens tell some body it might be a glich. O_O

My greatest loss: Star Craft: Brood War, Ladder Game, Map: The Hunters. I've never been too good with StarCraft, so when I got into a match with a player with a rating of over 5200, I knew I was sunk. Regardless, I played my best, it was me as Protoss against him as Terran. We didn't have any real battles in the game until about 25 minutes in, so I figured the guy was just going easy on me. Suddenly, a platoon of 30 Seige Tanks and 15 Goliaths begins to swarm my main base, which, me being the sucker I am at the game, had little more than 3 Carriers, 7 Reavers, and a handful of zealots to defend myself with. Regardless, after about a minute, and having wiped out most of my troops, he pulls back. I think to myself "what the heck?!" That's when I hear it; the signature "Nuclear Launch Detected". It wasn't until then that I realized: I hadn't warped in a single Photon Cannon or Observer, and thus, left myself completely vulnerable to cloaking technology. A few moments later, I'm greeted by a couple more nukes to finish off my main base. Me being the n00b I was, I had only one small mining outpost other than my primary base, and so I valiantly (read: desperately) sent a small army of probes to their doom. Granted, I'm still no grandmaster (or anything more than an average player) of StarCraft, but I don't make +that+ stupid mistake anymore.

I'll share my greatest victory some other time.

It didn't happen to me, but it happened because of me. Back when we were still playing Perfect Dark for N64, my bf was on a level where he had to find the president's clone and kill him or something. I had no idea which dot the president's clone was, and I ended up asking him, "Who the president's clone?" Now I get teased about it everytime I say something stupid, or anytime Perfect Dark is mentioned.
