Common troubleshooting steps:
- Be sure to run your browser as an administrator.
- Update your browser to the latest version.
- In Internet Explorer, add *.gametap.com to your list of Trusted Sites in the Security settings. Uncheck the "Require server verification" box when doing this.
- Update your video card drivers.
- Update DirectX to the latest redistributable (i.e. not the web setup)
- Check My Computer to ensure you have no drives mapped to X: or Y:
- Add GameTapPlayer.exe, X:\* and Y:\* to your anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall exceptions.
- VISTA: Add GameTapPlayer.exe to your list of DEP exceptions.
- VISTA: Set the GameTapPlayer.exe to always run as administrator.
- VISTA: Try enabling Win XP SP3 compatibility mode on the GameTapPlayer.exe
