Please Note: This forum is for community technical support, if you wish to receive support from GameTap staff and GameTap customer service you need to submit a service request. Service requests are answered in the order that they are received.

I. Requesting Technical Support
When creating a thread requesting technical support, you must use the template provided below. This is the basic information we need to start troubleshooting your issue. Threads created without this template are subject to locking and/or deletion.

Please include the following information in any new thread requesting technical support. Just copy the template below and paste it into your post, with your answers. If you are experiencing issues installing GameTap software you only need to answer 1-3.

  • 1. Web Browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) & Version #:
  • 2. Operating System (Windows XP, Vista, etc.) & Service Pack:
  • 3. Have you tried rebooting:
  • 4. GameTap error code (if known):
  • 5. GameTap log handle:
  • 6. Games affected by this issue:
  • 7. Games that are not affected by this issue:
  • 8. Does Aveyond work:
  • 9. Does Burger Time work:
  • 10. Description of problem:

II. Requesting Billing Or Customer Service Support
Due to the sensitive nature of billing and account information, it is recommended that you submit a service request instead of creating a thread in this forum. Threads containing or requesting private data are subject to locking and/or deletion. If you have a question in regards to non-sensitive information please be aware that forum moderators and admins do not have access to billing or account details and will be unable to answer most questions.

III. Contributing To The Technical Support Forum
Constructive feedback, tips, and support suggestions from the community are always welcome. Some examples of constructive feedback include "I have a similar setup but do not experience that issue," "Here is a link to another forum thread regarding a similar topic," "Have you tried doing X?" and "Are you using software X, Y, or Z?"
Non-constructive replies that do not aid the poster or GameTap staff in any way make troubleshooting more difficult and will be deleted without warning. Product feedback, non-technical questions, and complaints belong in the Feedback & Suggestions Forum.
