 uninstall gone awry
my buddy who has a gametap account recently had a problem and tried to uninstall gametap. without any help from either me or my other friend (note, we are both IT students) he tried to delete his gametap stuff straight from the folders, and can no longer download anything on gametap, nor the plug-in. can I please get any help on this matter? thank you for your time and patience.

 Re: uninstall gone awry
If he deleted the Program Files folder group, he'll need to remove the plugins from IE and FF, reboot, and try logging in to GameTap.com to trigger the reinstall.

unfortunetly, that didn't fix it for him. if it helps any, he was just hunting through everything that he thought had the smallist thing to do with gametap when he was attempting to 'fix' his earlier problem. he's using firefox, if that helps any.

 Re: uninstall gone awry
If all plugins have been removed and there is no GameTap app in the Add/Remove Programs list, he may need to clear his registry of GameTap as well.
Using regedit, delete the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TGN, Inc.\GameTap Web Player
A reboot is required before trying to install again.
