 Massive buyer's remorse (refund?)
I paid for a yearly account last night, but canceled an hour later (for more than one reason). I put in a support ticket right away, asking for a refund and even got the "A Customer Support representative will respond to your request soon (between the hours of 10:30am - 9:00pm eastern standard time)" jazz, but I still haven't gotten a reply. I hope it's because GT doesn't consider Sunday to be a business day, but I still can't help feeling a little worried. I feel like I'm getting gypped, having paid $80 (debit, FYI) for something in which I can't play a bunch of the games because of the awful way it's set up (the X and Y thing, for instance). At this point I'd be happy if I had to pay for this month and then get the rest of it back. Otherwise, I don't know what to do.
By the way, yesterday had been the first time I logged in since last November, so I had no idea about all the changes that have been implemented. I signed up for the yearly account thinking GT was the same as it was in November, only now using a browser. This is what I get for jumping the gun, huh? I don't know who I'm more disappointed with, GameTap or myself.

 Re: Massive buyer's remorse (refund?)
Hi there,
The TOS does clearly state that if you cancel within 48 hours of signup that you're entitled to a refund. Requests are taking a while to process right now, though.
The X and Y drive requirement has always been with Gametap though, since it launched 4 years ago. That's not new to the web-based system.

 Re: Massive buyer's remorse (refund?)
A while? I've been leaving voice mails for 3 weeks have haven't gotten a single reply - not a phone call, e-mail, or carrier pigeon. All I'm trying to do is cancel the service - good luck getting a refund. I've got a bad feeling that once they've got your money, it's going to be really hard to get it back.

Thank you so much for your help! I saw that too, which is why I'm getting worried. I know there's the date on the Support Ticket, so hopefully it's just me being paranoid... macnbc wrote: The X and Y drive requirement has always been with Gametap though, since it launched 4 years ago. What?! Then this shouldn't be an issue, because I was able to play, say, The Last Blade without any trouble until now. I tried fixing it on my own computer and got error messages (not GameTap's fault, I just wanted to clarify). WildeSilas wrote: ...good luck getting a refund. Okay, before I start getting paranoid again (*kicks self for not getting the monthly one instead*), is there anything I should do about this? GameTap has yet to be listed on my debit transactions, but the last thing I want to do is make a wrong step.
