I bought it on Steam the day it came out (I was really looking forward to it :| ), played through it, played some multiplayer matches, then uninstalled it and haven't played again since.

Singleplayer, I didn't think it was a horrible game, or even a bad game, it was just... thoroughly average. I don't regret playing through it, but it wasn't all that memorable either.

Multiplayer, however, was the biggest letdown for me... buggy, unbalanced... frustrating. Very disappointing, considering how fun DC was.

Overall, I wish I had waited until it went on sale. Or came to GameTap. :P

I've never played it but once I saw it on the up n coming list I went and did some research. The multiplayer player base is small from what I read but according to those that still do play it the most recent patch pretty much fixed the game entirely.

Comments like "You need to re-advertise this game now that you have patched it" make me hopeful.

I liked how UT3 had a huge update and then a steam sale, coupled with a massive new marketing push. Sounds like Frontline could do with something similar. Who knows, maybe GT will give it a large enough boost.

Isn't UT3 coming to GT in the future as well?
I need to look up the Midway deal again.

-edit-

I looked it up in the blog, it's the Epic deal (that sounds good) and yes, UT3 is coming too.
There's so much multiplayer fragging goodness in the pipeline.
