 Save States are Back
With today's website deployment, you can once again save the state of an emulated game on your local drive. Just pause an emulated game, and it will give you some save slots that you can use as you desire.
Now you might actually be able to finish Ghosts & Goblins before Halloween.

 Re: Save States are Back
What about saved games for Browser games that were saved prior to the Gametap format change? I still don't see my "Betrayal at Krondor" saved game from 6 months ago?
We were promised these saves from prior to the format change would be restored and not lost. Now why is this taking forever to accomplish?

 Re: Save States are Back
As long as you never uninstalled GameTap, you should have all of your old saves. If you uninstalled and reinstalled somewhere along the way, I am afraid you are out of luck.
The new uninstaller lets you keep your games / save states, but if you uninstalled with the old one that didn't then they might have gotten blown away.

Yay, glad to see Save states are back! A little hard to read the text, but not too big of a problem.

 Re: Save States are Back
From what's been said before (and I'm not staff, but I read everything so this is a good guess) netplay is going to have to be redesigned from the ground up to be feasable, so I'd imagine it's on the "long out list" and before you say "But emulators already do it." Kindly remember that the requirments for GT are going to be signficantly higher since they'll need to make sure there are no security issues. (In the old version this was handled by not allowing direct connections between computers. Of course it didn't work that well, so I imagine they'll need a new approach.)

We used to be able to play some of the 2P games online with a remote second player, even when they were originally designed for a single console. One of the features lost in the Great Change.

 Re: Save States are Back
It never worked well IMHO I gave us using it. There was too much lag and unless you had a perfect connection it wasn't worth it. There were more than a few complaints about it on the old forums.
