Valid point I suppose. But until they put a 120gig hard drive in a white 360....(I'm just bitter for being on of the people who bought the 20 gig version right before they released the 60 gig version.

I did the same thing. I don't actually download that much, so its not a big deal. It still kind of sucks though. I hear the 60 gig model has a quieter DVD drive.

When I replaced my launch-style 360 with an Arcade, it quieted down a lot.

Compared to my current roommate's Elite which sounds like a bloody jet engine.

You've got a new model, mine was a launch system. The launch systems had hardware issues not related to the way I use it.

Just goes to show you. Never EVER buy something the very first year it comes out (anyone who knows automobiles will tell you that)! Always wait at least a year until the initial bugs are identified and worked out. Almost everyone I know who bought a launch system (whether PS3 or 360) has had some kind of problem with it (my buddy's PS3, which I mentioned in an earlier post is, I guess, the exception that proves the rule).

Oddly enough, I havent heard of any problems with launch Wii systems though. I pesonally can't stand Nintendo but, credit where credit is due; they sure know how to build em don't they.

I certainly have never had any problems with my Wii (hurhur). But seriously, the stability issue was one of the big reasons I bought the Wii rather than one of the other consoles... well that and Twilight Princess.
