Hey, I've just joined the website and have finally managed to get everything working. The problem I had was exceedingly tricky to solve due to the fact that there isn't a specific troubleshooting guide that actually tells you to do this... so I suggest that the following should be added to the appropriate troubleshooting guide to make sure more people can access Gametap.

Problem: I've just downloaded the GameTap plugin and the following things happen:
1) On Internet Explorer I cannot view my games tab or download/play any games.
2) On Firefox the same things happen but with the addition of a yellow bar at the top of certain screens saying "additional plugins need to be installed to view this page correctly."

Reason: You are behind a firewall on the router that means the GameTap plugin cannot talk to the GameTap network (as it does not know how to get through the firewall.)

Solution: In XP go to Start - Control Panel - Internet Options. Click on the Connection Tab. Click on LAN Settings. Untick "Automatically Detect Settings" and tick "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN". In the boxes below you then need to add the address of the proxy you will be using to access the internet and the port along which you need to access the internet, eg: wwwcache.gametapisawesome.com and in the port box 1337 (not real examples!). Click OK until all open windows are closed. Restart IE/Firefox.
