Unofficial Three Round Free Game Tournament:

In the tradition of Jac1002's Unoffical Weekday Tournament, there will be a new tournament running for three weeks featuring free games only. The game for each week will be announced in this thread Sunday evening with score submissions being accepted as soon as the game is announced until Tuesday at 9pm eastern time. Scoring and rules will basically follow those of Jac1002's tournament. (Thanks to Jac1002 for granting permission to pilfer his rules.)

To enter just play and post a screen of your best score.

(Make sure you resize your images to fit the forum rule of not being over 800 pixels wide so as not to break the scroll.)

Scoring will be on an inverse top ten scoring system as in...
place = score
1st = 10 points
2nd = 9 points
3rd = 8 points
4th = 7 points
5th = 6 points
6th = 5 points
7th = 4 points
8th = 3 points
9th = 2 points
10th= 1 points

Scores from all three rounds will be added together at the end of the tournament to determine final standing placements.

RULES

You can post at any time and if you achieve a higher score you may update your post by editing a new screen of your score in place of the old one.

ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTO SHOPPING(or any other kind of editing) SCORES (note:this only applies to the score itself.you can crop and resize the whole screen capture to make it look neater and fit the forum.)

Only scores that you personally achieve and capture during the time of the tournament may be posted.

Tournaments are to be played in single player only.

Playing from a save state is not allowed. you must start a new game for each score.

I don't have Jac's mind-power explosion inducing powers, so I will just have to ask everyone kindly not to cheat.

i guess i should be happy but having so thoroughly dominated all three rounds i feel kinda bad...

maybe if you do it again you can have each round go for a week to give more people time put in better scores.

Congrats again jac. You're winning three in a row just means we should have tried harder.

I think you're right about having a longer time period for the entries. I have some ideas to run the next contest a bit differently to give a bit more variety to complement rather than copy your tournament. Also, scoring will be based on how many people play to encourage more participation.
