 Just curious How does the licensing scheme for Gametap work?
Does Gametap totally buy the IP for their games? Does it pay the IP owner a set fee for the right to distribute? A cut based on number of hours the game is played?
Not important, I am just curious.

Re: Just curious I don't work for GT but based on what the admins usualy say I'd guess that they pay the owners of the IP to distribute it for a set amount of time.

Re: Just curious i am pretty sure that they only lease the rights to distribute,rather then wholly buy IPs.
they usually can't talk about specific contracts but they have said before that how the owner gets paid varies by each contract.
