I am a big fan of completing games, so my vote is going for any and all expansion packs for the current crop of games. Oh, and Standing Stones by EA from the old days. Never did finish that dang game.

I'm pretty sure EA is super tight with their games and won't allow GT a contract. Quite a shame, since EA acquired the Maxis titles and I really miss SimCity and SimCity2K.

What happened to Indigo Prophecy? I'm pretty sure you announced it months ago. If I'm right, hurry up. If not, go get it.

Re: The Official "Games I Want on GameTap" thread: Part III
I really like this indie game game called VVVVVV It's a 2D platformer without a jump action. Instead the player will be able to switch the gravity and walk in either ceiling or ground. It doesn't really look or sound that great on the first glance but is really cool when you try it yourself. It was developed and published by Distractionware and is so far only available on the official site http://thelettervsixtim.esThe downloadable demo and the video on the developer's site shows well some of the mechanics of the game but doesn't really do a justice to the quite open ended gameplay of the full game. Please check out the VVVVVV and maybe some other games the self published developer has made so far. I think you won't be disappointed.

Along the same lines, Darkfall was a good creepy, atmospheric adventure game. How about the sequel?
+1 vote for 7th guest. Why not for the Darkfall sequel also, yet to try the original though. I'm quite big fan of point and click adventure games actually, so any title of the genre is a really nice addition no matter how old, new, unpopular or even bad it would be. I might eventually try most of the ones in here since I'm quite bad at completing them. I never really like to use guides even if I get stuck, trying again later is just the more rewarding option when I get trough that hard part.

i love all of them and portal alone would be an amazing addition to gametap (PS would also like a offline mode so i can still play w/o internet because it sucks to have to do that)
Everyone knows that HL isn't gonna happen. The whole Steam service is by Valve. For me it would be really interesting to see official list of all of the publishers and developers which have declined to be part of GT. One quick Wikipedia search would then be enough to make sure if my suggestion is even worth your time to read.

I say we add a Request Games Thread number 736647 in hopes that the missing 736644 threads would be excluded.

Pretty much any major publishing company is not going to let Gametap get licensing as it would cost millions of dollars.
Gametap should have more indie games.

Er...so what exactly are Microsoft, Ubi-Soft, THQ, Atari, and Activision? I'd consider at least Ubi-Soft and Activision to be extremely major...

Well Nintendo has the Virtual Console and EA is stingy to begin with. Atari 2600 games were up for grabs by everyone. If Activision gives us Crash or Spyro then I'll completely agree with you.

There's more Atari games than just 2600 ones, at least coming up. Would you really want the Crash/Spyro games that Activision could distribute? Assuming they only have the rights to the PS2 ones onwards, of course (I have no idea how the games are licensed).

The PS2 ones? No, I hate them. What you really need to do is fix some of the damage to the RPG section after the Sierra drop.

Please don't say "you". I don't need more people thinking I work for Gametap.
Also, there's Neverwinter Nights, The Witcher, and King's Bounty coming up. I also think (ie, this isn't fact at all) that the way licenses have gone, the Sierra RPGs may be coming back thanks to other publishers. That's just guessing, though.

Does anyone else think it would be cool to get the Battlezone games on here. Not the real retro one but the PC FPS/RTS hybrids that apparently were actually kind of good

It's nice to see some Sierra games here again. At least I think Pharaoh and Master of Olympus are by Sierra. I bought them used some years ago and might check them again trough GT since I didn't play them that much back then.

From Wikipedia: "ACTION 52 is a multicart consisting of 52 individual and original video games, it became notorious among gamers for the abysmal quality of its games." That sounds fun but I'm too lazy to use any NES or Mega Drive emulator. GameTap should try to get it xD
