GT can always ue more mega-RPG's.
On a seperate note, is there any chance we might get an updated 'coming soon' list? The list we have right now is almost a month out of date and our most recent update isn't even on the list at all.
Please understand I'm not complaining, we do appreciate the service. I just like to know what to expect.

It's your right to complain, especially if you are paying for the service. I for one would like to see more consistency in the updated list.

I like not knowing what's coming. It adds to the surprise on release day.

I pay. Do I have a right to complain about everyone else's complaining?

I too would really like everyone to pull themselves back from the funk that everyone got in after the Metaboli takeover.

Has anyone tried this yet? If so, does it include the expansion? I already have the game, and don't remember it taking up quite that much space.

From the game description, "The Gametap version also includes the expansion Silverfall: Earth Awakening for even more role-playing adventure."

Re: New Game Day 2.04.10: Silverfall
I'm new to this site, I only created an account Wednesday and I only signed up for the classic membership due to the lack of 64-bit titles. I figure I'll wait until some more games I'm interested in get "updated" and then upgrade my account. I am having a bit of trouble understanding the game release system here though. This Silverfall was not on the list of upcoming games on the "New and Upcoming" thread, yet games that are on that list are not available on the site yet (Neverwinter Nights 2, The Witcher, and Company of Heroes for example). Does this mean that there is an updated updates list somewhere that I'm missing? Or do we just have to wait patiently for surprise Thursdays? Not complaining, just curious as I'm new. *Edit* Just realized that LordMuse answered/asked the same question early in the thread, I must have skipped over it. Would still like to hear from an Admin though;.

I agree that the list should be updated.
And, 15 GB? Dang. How does this compare with Titan Quest?

Titan quest is 4.55GB, according to its page.

Yikes. It kills me having Supreme Commander on my HD, and that's only 10gB.

Personally speaking I think the overall plot lags far behind Titan's Quest in terms of complexity and originality. The fact that you can have companions is neat though and I do like the fact that you can play as a goblin or a troll so it definitely beats TQ in basic character variety. The skill system in Silverfall is a little reminiscent of the first Diablo in that many skills are generalized in that any character can pick them up which is obviously quite different than TQ's rather rigid class system. Titan's Quest is to my mind certainly a better game but Silverfall is pretty good too; at least I don't think it deserved the mauling that the critics gave it.

I'm going to give it a go because I've always been a fan of the "technology vs. magic" subject in RPGs (Arcanum)

That's a scary thing to say. Just as long as the enemies actually did something other then run at you. It got old fast...

Yeah, so far (I'm about lvl 40 in Greybay) the plot isn't anything special. Typical RPG save the world stuff. And yeah, also the enemies just run right at you, unless they have a range attack, in which case they run to within range and start shooting at you. But at least it's not a total clickfest, you can click on an enemy once and you'll attack until he (or you) is dead. I'm kind of sick of the games that wear out your mouse by constantly clicking the mouse to attack

Changing compatibility didn't work for me. Perhaps I did it wrong, but the program either wouldn't run or said I needed Yum player to run. *shrugs* I run Windows 7 Pro 64bit. What did work for me:Downloaded the Silverfall Demo from Fileplanet. Installed as admin. Ran the Gamesetup for the demo as admin. Replaced that Config Folder with the one in my Gametap folder. You probably only need the config file, but I just replaced the whole folder. Didn't feel like fussing with it. The game looks a whole heck of a lot better. Hope this helps some, I know I was getting a bit frustrated.

Re: New Game Day 2.04.10: Silverfall
I have to say, impressive title. In fact, so impressive that it's the first game that has taken me away from X3 Reunion since I bought it this past holiday. Thanks for the add GT! =)
Edit: the only major complaint I'd have actually is the itemization - in a word: horrific! Maybe I've grown accustomed to RPGs from great developers, but the way the game mixes melee and caster stats is simply frustrating, especially on Ultimate items, which because of horrible itemization end up being useless.
