Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade

On the planet of Kronus, many forces are colliding. The ancient Necrons have awoken from their eons-long slumber beneath the sands of Kronus to continue their mission of exterminating all life. The Eldar have come to stop the Necrons. The Tau wish to protect their colony on the planet. The Imperial Guard and Chaos both see the fighting as an opportunity to take the world for themselves. The Orks don't really care about the why, they just want in on the action. The Space Marines want to cleanse the planet of all of the above in the name of the Emperor. Only one of these races can stand victorious at the end of this Dark Crusade.

For the record, we are still waiting on an update to be able to release Rainbow Six Vegas. To keep from having to push it back every week, we've now rescheduled it for January 14.

Now -this- came as an out of left field suprise, but Damn, gametap guys, you sure came up with god's own out of left field suprises..

*I've assumed that much like WA this includes the original DoW as well.

nope, TSR, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm are/were completely standalone games.. though you needed the product keys from WA/DOW classic to play those races in multiplayer.


I figure that's part of what's been keeping the DoW games fromcoming, getting the encrypted games to notice each other installed and properly let you play those races

So its confirmed that all the DoW titles have to be installed to get the unlockables?

Love this game, but really anxious to see it recognize the base game and its winter assault expansion pack for multiplayer play with all the races.

Ok this is the second game that i seem to cant run it is doing just like call of duty 2 is doing. i download once finished 100% i click play the green spiral thing goes then browser minimizes then nothing at all but in task manager it is running im stumped. i have noticed tho its only the games that need a key for multiplayer that i have this problem with and yes i copy and paste the key in when it ask. throw me some ideals guys i have done updated the following DX9, nvidia Display drivers, physx windows is fully up to date..could it be a service in windows cause i turned off unused services or set them to manual. please help

I couldnt find this info anywhere so I apologize for putting it in the wrong section.When I went to play warhammer dark crusade multiplayer I kept getting the cd authentication error.At no time did the game ask me for a cd key.So after much searching (don't bother looking for it in registry just a big hassle,and risk)I went to where my gametap games are stored and opened the warhammer folder.There is a file called Dawnofwar_DC_CDkeyedit.exe open that up (make sure you run as administrator)and a window will open up allowing you to enter your cd key there.Hope this helps someone,and once again I apologize for not posting this in the appropriate section.

It asks for your CD key at the 20% point or so in the download for some reason. If you are like me, you saw this inexplicable window pop up while you were doing something else asking for a cd key, and instantly closed it.

That said, you are smarter than me. I read the forums, found out about the mysterious cd key window, and decided to delete the game and completely start over from scratch.

Thats what happened except it didnt ask for cd key i think it asked if I started yummy interactive wich i know is for gametap,but I didn't expect it to pop up in the middle of a DL while I was removing a program off my computer that had nothing to do with it lol so I of course closed the window .

Since BIAHH doesn't work I was bored and played this game some more. Let me say that this is the ONLY game I have ever played in my life (and I consider myself a pretty good gamer) that kicks my ass on normal difficulty (and I refuse to play any game on easy, never have and won't with this one). Yeah, I won the game with the space marines where you can quickly build up a huge army of marines with half and half rocket launchers and machine guns, but with all the other races I get slammed. The computer just keeps building huge armies and I can't keep up. Does anyone else think this game is really hard? I breezed right through warhammer 2k gold edition...
