 mega man x collection question

Post mega man x collection question
i was wondering why mega man x collection doesn't have x7 and x8, i mean mega man x collection came out in 2006 mega man x7 came out in 2003 while x8 came out in 2004 so why not the developers put those two games in, like in the mega man anniversary did which had mega man 1 through 8

I can only guess because those were 3D games. They could have been limited by space on the CD, but more likely it was a monetary issue (the cost of the games back then were still somewhat high). That's just my take on it.
