Hello everyone! My player doesn't seem to be registering with the site. Whenever I go to My Games it tells me that I don't have the player installed. I figured there was just an updated version but, when I reinstalled it, it didn't work. I then uninstalled it and reinstalled it again. Nothing. My anti-virus software is turned off at this point, so I don't think it's that. Any idea what else it could be, or if this has been a problem before what solutions fixed it?

I'm having the same problem. Win7 64 bit- was running firefox 9 but it got upgraded to 10 and stopped working. I uninstalled Gametap and Firefox, reinstalled Firefox 9 and also tried Firefox 3.6. I can't install IE 8 because Win 7 won't let me. Tried everything the "Player Installation Loop" thread suggested- no dice. Any suggestions?

Close your browser. Start up Task Manager, click on the tab called 'Applications', click on the two files called 'YProxAutLauncherMain' and 'YProxMainForm' and 'end task' them both. Next restart your browser and once it's up, you should have a flashing tab appear in your task bar from windows asking you if you want to let a file run, click OK. That will restart the files you just ended in task manager and once they restart, you should be able to play your games again without a problem.

Any time you have a problem with this 'bug' I will call it, do the above and it should fix the problem. It does with mine every time. You can also reboot, but that takes more time than just killing off the processes and restarting your browser, which then makes the files restart.

Hope this helps. FireFox 10 is *not* supported yet, so keep using 9.0.* until GameTap gets the new file made for us. Last I heard they are still working on it. I refuse to use Internet Explorer, it's way way way too slow, but I would think this 'fix' will also work with it just like it does with FireFox to get your games going again.
